Schedulers Professional Development Program

As an offshoot of the Association's main Professional Development Program, NBAA's Schedulers Professional Development Program (SPDP) provides course offerings designed to meet the needs of schedulers and dispatchers.

NBAA's Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Committee introduced the Schedulers Professional Development Program in 2001 as a way to provide additional and improved training options for schedulers and dispatchers. The program's 30 learning objectives are tailored to these professionals. All learning objectives and courses are approved by the S&D Committee.

Those who participate in the SPDP receive professional recognition by NBAA and industry peers in the following ways. First, SPDP participants earn a certificate of recognition for completing each program objective. Those who complete six or more SPDP objectives, or complete an entire SPDP module, receive a recognition plaque. Additionally, participants are annually recognized during a formal SPDP presentation and photo opportunity during NBAA's Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference. NBAA provides additional recognition for individuals as they complete each module and ultimately meet all 30 objectives. As of fall 2007, the program facilitated more than 700 course completions, and over 30 individuals earned recognition plaques for completing six or more objectives.

SPDP courses are offered in conjunction with NBAA events or can be taken in coordination with individual providers. Participants should keep NBAA informed of their participation in this program in order to receive recognition. For more information, contact NBAA's Sarah Wolf at (202) 783-9251 or
