Participation in NBAA’s Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) program’s recent job analysis survey was strong, ensuring that Member input will continue to help shape the program and maintain its accreditation, said Jay Evans, CAM, NBAA’s director of professional development.
Recently, NBAA reached out to more than 8,000 industry members, including current CAMs and other aviation managers, and asked for their input. The survey’s responses, which will be held in confidence, are necessary for maintaining accreditation from the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). The current accreditation lasts through October 2018, and the program must file annual reports that include all of its testing data.
Respondents’ input also is critical to ensuring the CAM program, which prepares business aviation professionals for management roles within a flight department.
“NBAA thanks all participants for their input on this job analysis survey,” said Evans. “Their feedback is crucial to ensuring that the CAM certification evolves with the times, and this kind of analysis is necessary to maintaining CAM’s NCCA accreditation.”
In addition to contributing to CAM’s ongoing improvement efforts, the survey’s respondents were entered in a random drawing for three prizes. Winners are:
- First Prize (Apple watch): Gary Cox, contract pilot Global Express and Challenger 604
- Second Prize ($200 credit toward an NBAA Professional Development Course): Chad Blanchard, chief pilot at Westmark Enterprises
- Third Prize (CAM study guide): Marc Goldfarb of Aitheras Aviation Group
