Call for Nominations for the CAM Governing Board

The NBAA Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) Governing Board is seeking nominations for those CAMs that are qualified and interested in serving as a director on the CAM Governing Board. All nominees must be CAMs in good standing and able to support the CAM Governing Board in the procedures needed to coordinate the CAM Program. Participation as a director on the CAM Governing Board involves attending two meetings a year and support throughout the year on conference calls and other electronic forums.

All nominations must be submitted in writing to the CAM Governing Board Administrative Director at jevans@nbaa.org before May 15, 2012.

After all nominations have been confirmed, the CAM Governing Board Nominating Committee will present the slate to the CAM Governing Board for approval at the next meeting on June 4-6, 2012. The election of directors will take place after this meeting and will conclude at least 30 days prior to the Annual Meeting in October 2012. The ballot will be sent to all CAMs for voting. The votes will be tallied at NBAA and the results announced at the NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention CAM Governing Board meeting on October 30, 2012, in Orlando. In accordance with the CAM Bylaws, if elected, the director would serve for a three-year term that begins after the CAM Governing Board Meeting at the NBAA Annual Meeting and Convention. This three-year term is scheduled to end at the NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention in 2015.

To complete the nomination process, nominees must provide the following information by email prior to May 15, 2012. Please submit:

  • an electronic, one page resume
  • a three sentence statement outlining your qualifications to be elected
  • written consent to accept the nomination
