Washington, DC, Sept. 6, 2017 – Those attending National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Regional Forum on Sept. 7 in Morristown, NJ are encouraged to bring donations to be used for victims of Hurricane Harvey and in preparation for additional relief missions that may be needed in the coming weeks.

Taking place tomorrow at Morristown Municipal Airport (MMU), NBAA's final Regional Forum of 2017 will bring together local business aircraft owners, operators, manufacturers, customers and other business aviation professionals to share knowledge, discuss issues affecting the region and learn how business aviation can help companies succeed and provide valuable humanitarian assistance during times of need.

"Stations will be arranged at the Morristown Regional Forum where attendees will be able to drop off much-needed supplies or make financial contributions, so NBAA can work with business aviation relief organizations to get the supplies to those who need them most," said Mike Nichols, NBAA vice president of operational excellence and professional development.

As in past times of crisis, people and organizations from across the business aviation community have mobilized in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey to coordinate pilots, aircraft, flight-planning services and other assets to move relief and supplies into the disaster area. Additionally, NBAA's Humanitarian Emergency Response Operator (HERO) Database, developed following the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, collects information about aircraft and individual volunteers that can be shared with relief organizations in the wake of natural disasters. NBAA’s Regional Forums combine educational experiences with networking, static displays of aircraft and vendor exhibits to offer a comprehensive view of the business aviation industry, locally, in a single day. Among the topics scheduled for the Morristown Regional Forum include presentations on the current state of business aviation in the U.S.; expanding industry career opportunities; and new methods to expand the charter aircraft marketplace.
