NBAA Welcomes New Cessna President and CEO Scott Ernest

Washington, DC, May 31, 2011 – National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) President and CEO Ed Bolen today issued the following statement regarding the announcement that former General Electric executive Scott Ernest has been named president and CEO of Cessna Aircraft, effective today.
"Cessna has always been a leader in general aviation and a company known for its grasp of challenges and opportunities in the marketplace and the policy arena. Scott Ernest's background in aviation and his experience in the global business environment suit him well for his new role as Cessna president and CEO. We welcome Scott, and we look forward to working with him on the issues facing the general aviation community."
In a press release issued today, Textron Chairman Scott Donnelly called Ernest "a talented global business leader who has strong expertise in the aviation industry." Donnelly continued: "Accelerating Cessna's new product and service development, strengthening its manufacturing and sourcing operations, and intensifying its global expansion efforts are key to moving Cessna forward. Scott brings an extensive track record of success in these areas along with a reputation as an outstanding leader."
