NBAA Supports the Aviation Community's Internet Presence as an Official .aero Partner; Launches EBACE.aero and LABACE.aeroContact: Cassandra Bosco
Washington, DC, July 28, 2003 - The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has adopted .aero web site addresses for its international events in Europe and Latin America.
EBACE.aero provides information about EBACE, the only European exhibition of its kind to focus exclusively on business aviation, and LABACE.aero is devoted to LABACE, the only Latin American exhibition of its kind to focus exclusively on business aviation.
.aero is a new Internet domain name (like .com, .net, .org) exclusively reserved for the aviation community. It enables organizations and individuals to reserve and purchase their own .aero web and e-mail addresses identifying themselves as legitimate aviation-related organizations. Beyond simplifying access to information, ".aero shortcuts" could be used by business aviation industry staff, aircraft passengers and business partners alike to simplify intra-industry communications. Find out more about the .aero initiative and which industry organizations and associations support it at www.information.aero.
EBACE2004, organized jointly by NBAA and the European Business Aviation Association, will be held May 25 through 27, 2004, at Geneva Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland. The Static Display of Aircraft will be held at Geneva International Airport, which is immediately adjacent to Geneva Palexpo. Learn more about EBACE online at www.ebace.aero.
LABACE2004, organized jointly by NBAA and the Associação Brasileira de Aviação Geral, will be held April 15 through 17, 2004, at Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo, Brazil, with a Static Display of Aircraft at nearby Congonhas Airport. Learn more at http://www.labace.aero.
NBAA represents the aviation interests of more than 7,300 companies that own or operate general aviation aircraft as an aid to the conduct of their business, or are involved with business aviation. NBAA Member Companies earn annual revenues approaching $5 trillion — a number that is about half the gross domestic product — and employ more than 19 million people worldwide. The NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention is the world's largest display of civil aviation products and services.
