Q: For those who may not know, what is Alpha Eta Rho (AHP) and what is its basic mission?

Alpha Eta Rho, established in 1929, has served as the benchmark for professional collegiate aviation students for nearly 100 years. Open to everyone in college with an interest in aviation, the organization aims to connect students with industry professionals, provide opportunities for networking and professional growth and cultivate a passion for aviation among its members. Through its various programs and activities, Alpha Eta Rho strives to uphold the highest standards of aviation education and to support the development of its members into well-rounded, competent professionals in the field.

Q: How many members are part of the organization and how many college campuses have chapters?

Alpha Eta Rho is the foremost presence on college campuses across the United States, with more than 65,000 alumni and 1,600 active students from 150 lifetime chapters. Alpha Eta Rho serves as a vital link between students and the aviation industry, providing opportunities for professional development, networking and mentorship through long-established partnerships with industry stakeholders, like NBAA. By fostering a strong community of aspiring aviation professionals, AHP enhances the educational experience of its members and prepares them for successful careers in aviation and aerospace.

Alpha Eta Rho alumni stay engaged by mentoring current students, participating in networking events and reunions, as well as serving as guest speakers. They often take on advisory roles, help facilitate job and internship opportunities and stay connected through social media and online platforms. Alumni also support chapters through donations, fundraising and active participation in chapter activities and events.
