NBAA2012 Only Two Weeks Away: Limited Exhibit Space Remains
The NBAA 65th Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2012) is just a couple of weeks away. Set for Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 in Orlando, FL, NBAA2012 represents the most productive and efficient opportunity for business – all in one place, all at one time. Indoor exhibits in the North and South Halls of the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) will occupy nearly one million square feet of exhibit space. A Static Display of Light Business Airplanes & Helicopters will be located directly outside the exhibit hall – on-site at the OCCC. In addition, a Static Display of Aircraft at Showalter Flying Service on Orlando Executive Airport (ORL) will feature over 100 aircraft. A number of exhibiting opportunities are still available. Tuskegee Airmen to Be Honored at NBAA2012; Filmmaker George Lucas to Participate
Convention Attendees won't want to miss an opportunity to see representatives of the Tuskegee Airmen squadron and legendary filmmaker George Lucas, who produced the movie Red Tails about the squadron's triumph over discrimination during World War II. The airmen and Lucas will be on hand when NBAA recognizes the squadron's achievements with the 2012 NBAA Meritorious Service to Aviation Award on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 10:15 a.m. in the southeast corner of the exhibit floor. Following the award presentation, legendary aviator Sean Tucker will moderate a panel discussion about how Lucas, five-star General Fig Newton and record-setting pilot Barrington Irving were inspired by these storied aviators. Also, the airmen's vintage T6 trainer will be at the Light Business Airplane & Helicopter Static Display outside the convention center. Learn more about the Tuskegee Airmen.

Rep. John Mica Joins Presenters at NBAA2012 Opening Day
NBAA's Convention is always an effective venue for highlighting the value of business aviation with national policymakers, and that will once again be the case when Congressman John L.Mica (R-7-FL) serves as a featured speaker during the NBAA2012 Opening General Session on Oct. 30. Mica serves as the chairman of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, which is one of the largest congressional panels in the U.S. House of Representatives. "We are pleased to welcome Chairman Mica as a featured speaker, who is a national leader on transportation policy in the United States, including aviation issues," said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. Mica will be joined at the session by FAA Acting Administrator Michael Huerta, Forbes Publisher Rich Karlgaard and electronics pioneer Bill Crutchfield. Read about the Opening General Session.

Carville and Matalin Return as Convention Keynoters
Renowned and entertaining political couple James Carville and Mary Matalin will be featured speakers in a second-day Opening Session held during NBAA2012 on Oct. 31. "The timing is perfect to welcome back James and Mary as speakers at NBAA2012," said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. "It will be most interesting to hear their insights and predictions as political insiders, just one week prior to the presidential election." Learn more about Carville and Matalin.

Don't Miss NBAA/CAN Soiree With Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons
Exhibitors can entertain their customers, network with industry peers, support Corporate Angel Network (CAN) and be treated to a private concert by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons at the NBAA/CAN Soiree, an Evening With Angels. This event will be held Oct. 31, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of The Peabody Orlando, in conjunction with NBAA2012. Jetex Flight Support will be the first-ever title sponsor of this year's NBAA/CAN Soiree, an Evening With Angels, as well as the exclusive sponsor of the NBAA/CAN Soiree Reception. Sponsorships Available for Chairman's Charity Classic

Another prime opportunity for Exhibitors to gain visibility at NBAA2012 is through sponsorship of the Association's 16th Annual Chairman's Charity Classic Golf Tournament, which will be held at Grand Cypress Golf Club in Orlando, FL, on Monday, Oct. 29, the day before the show opens. Proceeds will benefit NBAA Charities, which raises funds to support philanthropic organizations and initiatives that use general aviation airplanes for humanitarian purposes. Several sponsorships are still available. All sponsor packages include recognition on the sponsor banner at the course, and most packages also include player positions in the tournament. Save Time: Register Online for Exhibitor Badge Prior to Show
Upon arrival at the convention center in Orlando, gaining quick access to the exhibit hall for booth setup is a priority. To avoid waiting in line at registration, Exhibitors can register themselves, colleagues and company guests online at the Exhibitor Service Center prior to the show's opening. Exhibiting companies obtain an allotment of complimentary badges based on booth size, so companies should be sure to take advantage of the free admission they can offer customers to the world's largest and best business aviation event. Badges will not be mailed in advance. By registering online before arrival, picking up badges will be as simple as scanning the barcode on your registration confirmation. Attendees are encouraged to book hotel accommodations for the world's largest business aviation event online. NBAA Warns of Phony Convention Directories and Guides
NBAA is once again warning NBAA2012 Exhibitors to be wary of directory and show guide publishers falsely claiming to represent the Association. NBAA is the only official publisher of show guides for Association-hosted events, including NBAA2012. Exhibitors also should be wary of solicitations from "rogue" housing companies, exhibit companies and any other unauthorized companies promoting exhibit-related services. Mobile App Makes Show Planning Easy
After receiving rave reviews by aviation and tech bloggers in 2011, the Association has released a new NBAA2012 mobile app to help users navigate the exhibit floor, plan out their schedule throughout the show and keep up with the latest NBAA2012 news. Exhibitors Invited to Attend Annual Coffee Social
All NBAA senior staff, along with many board and committee members, will be at the third annual Coffee Social at the NBAA booth, which starts at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30. Dedicated to networking, there is no preset agenda or presentation, and participants can enter a drawing for free passes to NBAA2013 in Las Vegas. Learn More About ABACE2013 and EBACE2013
Planning is underway for NBAA's 2013 international exhibitions, and Attendees at NBAA2012 in Orlando this October can stop by NBAA's booth to get the latest information on the two events. NBAA's Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2013) will be held in Shanghai,China, from April 16 to 18, and the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2013) will take place in Geneva, Switzerland from May 21 to 23. Secure Exhibit Space and Sponsorships at S&D Conference
NBAA's Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Conference is the biggest annual educational event providing timely and valuable information on topics of interest to those responsible for coordinating the use of business aircraft. Next year's event will be held in San Antonio, TX, from Jan. 22 to 25. The event will feature hundreds of exhibits from aviation products and services providers, and a number of sponsorship opportunities. Mark Your Calendar for 2013 Regional Forums
NBAA has confirmed the dates for all four Business Aviation Regional Forums in 2013. The first will be held in Long Beach, CA on Feb. 28; followed by White Plains, NY on June 6; Denver, CO on July 11; and Waukegan, IL in the Chicago area on Sept. 12.
