Forbes Publisher Rich Karlgaard to Address NBAA Convention
Rich Karlgaard – columnist, publisher of Forbes magazine, author, pilot and business aircraft owner – will be a featured speaker at the Opening General Session of the NBAA 65th Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2012) on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. “Rich’s insights as a business icon, as well as pilot and aircraft owner, make him uniquely qualified to address NBAA2012, and we look forward to hearing his take on the economy and business aviation just one week before the presidential election,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. Carville and Matalin to Return to NBAA Convention Just Prior to Election
Renowned political couple James Carville and Mary Matalin will be featured speakers at NBAA2012 on Oct. 31 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. “The timing is perfect to welcome back James and Mary as speakers at NBAA2012,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “It will be very interesting to hear their insights and predictions as political insiders, just one week prior to the presidential election.” Carville and Matalin’s appearance, which will take place as part of the second day’s Opening Session at this year’s Convention, will mark their third time speaking at an NBAA Convention during an election year. Sponsorships Available for 16th Annual Chairman's Charity Classic
The NBAA 16th Annual Chairman's Charity Classic Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, Oct. 29, at Grand Cypress Golf Club in Orlando, FL, in conjunction with NBAA2012. Proceeds will benefit NBAA Charities, which raises funds to support philanthropic organizations and initiatives that use general aviation airplanes for humanitarian purposes. NBAA Regional Forum Seattle


Limited Sponsorships Available for Seattle Regional Forum
NBAA's next Business Aviation Regional Forum will take place in Seattle, WA on Sept. 20, where indoor exhibits will showcase the latest products and services and an outdoor static display will feature the newest aircraft models. Session topics will include a Washington tax update, an update on the future air navigation system, mitigation strategies for loss of control in-flight and best practices for transitioning from paper to digital charts. 2013 Regional Forum Schedule Announced
NBAA has set the dates for all four Business Aviation Regional Forums in 2013. The first will be held in Long Beach, CA on Feb. 28; followed by White Plains, NY on June 6; Denver, CO on July 11; and Waukegan, IL in the Chicago area on Sept. 12. Call for Entries: ABACE2013 Education Session Proposals
NBAA is seeking proposals for educational sessions at next year's Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2013), set for Apr. 16 to 18, 2013, in Shanghai, China. Proposals must provide content relevant to business aircraft ownership and operations and may not be commercial in nature. Presenters must have proven business aviation experience and expertise in the Asian marketplace. Presentations will be selected based on industry need. Submissions are due to NBAA by July 31. NBAA Leadership Council Reaches Milestone With 100 Members
Established three years ago this summer, the NBAA Leadership Council now has 100 members with the recent addition of six companies – Phillips 66, Honeywell International, B/E Aerospace, Daher-Socata, Solarius Aviation and Dow Corning. In reaching this milestone, "NBAA and the business aviation community owe a debt of gratitude to every company and individual who has stepped up," said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen.
