NBAA's Las Vegas Convention Site Now Live
The web site for NBAA's 64th Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2011) – to be held October 10 to 12, in Las Vegas, NV – is now live, and is filled with information for Exhibitors, Attendees and others interested in learning more about the Association's exciting return to Las Vegas. Visitors to the site can access Exhibitor applications and information about the exhibit hall floor plan, the outdoor Static Display areas at the Las Vegas Convention Center and at Henderson Executive Airport, and more. The deadline for Exhibitor applications to be included in priority lottery is Monday, February 28. Don't miss out on the premier annual event for anyone whose passion or profession involves business aviation. Learn more at:

New for 2011: Outdoor Static Display Area at Convention Center
Making its debut at NBAA2011 in Las Vegas will be a new Outdoor Static Display area located immediately adjacent to the indoor exhibit area. The new display will be in addition to the traditional Static Display of Aircraft at Henderson Executive Airport and will provide unprecedented Attendee access to aircraft just steps from the indoor exhibits and education sessions at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The new Outdoor Static Display will be located in the Silver parking lot adjacent to the convention center and will have only real airplanes – no mock-ups, no tented displays, no chalets. Depending on their size, it's expected that there will be between 15 and 20 aircraft on display in the new area. Most will have wingspans of under 50 feet, which is the size that can be towed from McCarran International Airport, about four miles away. For full details and to take advantage of this new option, visit:

Exhibitors Visit Las Vegas as Momentum Builds for NBAA2011
Working alongside major Exhibitors to prepare for NBAA2011, the Association's Convention staff conducted a site visit in Las Vegas, NV last month. The Exhibitors and NBAA staff toured the Las Vegas Convention Center and Henderson Executive Airport. Over the last seven years, local leaders have partnered with NBAA to improve Las Vegas' infrastructure and facilities to provide the best setting possible for NBAA's Convention – now the fourth-largest trade show in the United States. NBAA2011 Priority One Housing Now Open
NBAA2011 housing is now open to Priority One Exhibitors. These Exhibitors already have been sent a link to the NBAA2011 housing web site directly from Travel Planners, the official housing provider. Priority One Exhibitors are reminded to submit their housing requests as soon as possible to ensure they receive their preferred hotel location, as reservation requests are processed in date and time fashion. The deadline for Priority One housing requests is Friday, February 25; confirmations will be sent shortly after that date. Direct questions to NBAA's Cheryl Padilla at

Boca Raton Forum to Address Needs of Southeast Region

It's not too late to attend; read the article or register online at:

Act Now to Exhibit or Sponsor at Upcoming Regional Forums

Additional Show Guide Listings for EBACE2011 Co-Exhibitors
All Exhibiting Companies and Co-Exhibiting Companies sharing a stand and/or Static Display space must be Members of either EBAA or NBAA. Exhibitors are provided one complimentary listing per stand or Static Display space reserved. Additional listings for Co-Exhibitors can be purchased for $300 per additional company listing. To request an additional listing, complete and return the EBACE2011 Show Guide additional listing request and return with payment to NBAA's Maureen Cameron at All fees for additional listings must be paid in full prior to EBACE2011. Once the request has been processed, Co-Exhibitors, like Exhibitors, will receive log-in credentials to update their company profile online for the print and online editions of the EBACE Show Guide. Beware of Unauthorized Show Guide and Housing Solicitations for EBACE2011
EBACE2011 Exhibitors should watch for solicitations from Construct Data Publishers, a.s., requesting that Exhibitors update listings for the "Exhibitors Directory for Fairs & Exhibitions." This is not an official EBACE publication, and the company has no affiliation with EBACE, EBAA or NBAA. By completing these forms, Exhibitors are agreeing to place paid listings in the directory. The official show guide for EBACE2011 is the EBACE2011 Show Guide & Directory of Exhibiting Companies. Similarly, be advised that HH Events is the official housing company for EBACE2011, and Exhibitors and Attendees should be wary of other companies making the same claim. For more information about official EBACE vendors, contact NBAA's Margie Morgan at Visit the official EBACE site at:

Though the Priority-One Exhibitor application deadline has passed, booth spaces are still available. The latest list of Exhibitors and an interactive floor plan are now available for viewing online. Meritorious Service Award Has Rich History: Submit Your Nomination
NBAA has always recognized that the success of business flying can be attributed in part to the pioneering efforts of people from all segments of aviation. That is why the Association has, nearly every year for the past six decades, presented its Meritorious Service to Aviation Award to an individual who has made significant lifelong contributions to aviation. Members are encouraged to submit nominations for the 2011 award by February 25. Review an article about some of the distinguished recipients of this award, from Arthur Godfrey in 1950 to Arnold Palmer in 2010:

Nominate a Business Aviation Leader for NBAA's Doswell Award
NBAA also is still accepting nominations for the John P. "Jack" Doswell Award, which recognizes lifelong individual achievement in support of the aims, goals and objectives of business aviation. Recipients of the Doswell Award have demonstrated their commitment to business aviation in a variety of ways. Some have been innovators who changed the face of business aviation; others built outstanding aviation support organizations and volunteered their time to support various industry causes. If you know an industry leader who is deserving of this recognition, consider submitting a nomination by the February 25 deadline. Learn more:
