Volunteers Needed for NBAA2010 Boys & Girls Club Community Build
NBAA's Annual Meeting & Convention always provides an ideal opportunity for the industry to show its support for the local host city, and that will be the case again this year. In conjunction with the 63rd Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2010) in Atlanta, GA, volunteers are needed for a "community build" on Sunday, October 17, to benefit the Brookhaven Boys & Girls Club located near Peachtree DeKalb Airport, the site of the NBAA Static Display of Aircraft. Sponsors have generously supported the build by donating breakfast, lunch, snacks, t-shirts and hats, as well as other funds necessary to conduct the build. The sponsors and NBAA are looking for volunteers to help put the build together. NBAA2010 Shaping Up as Strong Show: Will You Be There?
With less than one month remaining until the ribbon is cut to officially open NBAA2010, to be held from October 19 to 21 in Atlanta, Attendee and housing registration for the show is strong, and the show is shaping up as an exciting one, with a full exhibit floor at the Georgia World Congress Center, and a full Static Display of Aircraft at nearby DeKalb Peachtree Airport. Though the Static Display has sold out, host FBO Atlantic Aviation is graciously providing some additional display space to accommodate some of those on the waiting list. For the first time, the exhibit floor will be the location for both the traditional Opening General Session and a new second-day general session. Register today to ensure your company is present for this must-attend annual industry event by visiting:

Don't Miss a Chance to Support NBAA/CAN Charity Benefit
NBAA Members are cordially invited to attend the 2010 NBAA/CAN Charity Benefit with Live and Silent Auctions. The sole beneficiary of this year's Charity Benefit is Corporate Angel Network (CAN), a charitable organization that eases the burden of travel for cancer patients by arranging free flights to treatment centers using empty seats on business aircraft. Attending the Charity Benefit and participating in the Live and Silent Auctions are ideal ways for companies to show support for CAN, which is more important now than ever in this economic climate. Veteran aerospace news broadcaster Miles O'Brien will preside over the auction as master of ceremonies, and this year's featured musical entertainment is the rock group Chicago. Careers in Business Aviation Day to Highlight NBAA Commitment to Industry's Future
NBAA has undertaken several initiatives to encourage newcomers to the business aviation industry with scholarships, mentoring and other offerings and to attract the next generation of high-quality employees. In support of this effort, NBAA will hold a Careers in Business Aviation Day on October 21 in conjunction with NBAA2010 to show local students ages 12 and up what they can achieve with a career in business aviation. Students will hear a keynote address from George Dom, former commander of the Blue Angels, and Gene Cernan, former NASA astronaut and the "last man on the moon." Following the address, students will visit the exhibit hall, stopping to hear from Exhibitors who have agreed to speak to students regarding possible careers, internships and scholarships.
