NBAA 13th Annual Flight Attendants Conference Is This Month
The NBAA 13th Annual Flight Attendants Conference will take place from June 27 to 28 in Tucson, AZ at the Hilton El Conquistador Hotel. The theme for this year's event is "Going Global, New Challenges for Today's Flight Attendants." Keynote speaker Terri Morrison, author of several books on the cultural issues involved when doing business in different countries, will offer guidelines for successfully serving international travelers. Additional session topics will include global health challenges for crew and passengers, international catering etiquette and fatigue issues for international crews. EBACE Grows for Eighth Straight Year
Last month, NBAA, with the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), concluded another record-shattering European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) with an eighth consecutive year of growth that was hailed as the best event yet in recognizing the contribution of business aviation to regional economies. A total of 13,692 Attendees were on-site at this year's event, a 21.5 percent increase over last year's total attendance of 11,267. EBACE2008 surpassed other records, as more than 440 Exhibitors, an all-time high, displayed the latest products and services across a total of 1,958 booth spaces at Geneva PALEXPO, a 38 percent increase over the previous year. Visit EBACE2008 News Bureau to Review Articles, Podcasts, Photos and More
The EBACE Online News Bureau provides coverage of the 8th Annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2008), which took place from May 20 to 22 at Geneva PALEXPO, with a static display at Geneva International Airport. Awards for Safety, Contributions to the Industry Presented at EBACE2008
At EBACE2008, NBAA and EBAA presented awards to several exceptional organizations and individuals. During the 2nd Annual Safety Standdown Europe, EBAA presented the inaugural European Safety of Flight Awards, which honor European business aviation operators for their record of safe flying, to PrivatAir, Shell Aircraft, Eurofly Service S.P.A., Aero-Dienst GmbH, Dassault Falcon Service and BMW Flight Service. Also at EBACE2008, NBAA and EBAA presented the EBACE2008 European Business Aviation Award to Mark Booth, chairman and CEO of NetJets Europe, for his outstanding contributions to European business aviation. The next NBAA Business Aviation Regional Forum will be held on June 26 at the Dayton International Airport (DAY) in Dayton, OH. NBAA Seeks New Director, Conventions
The NBAA Conventions, Seminars & Forums Division is seeking a director, conventions. This position reports directly to the senior vice president, conventions, seminars & forums, and supports the NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention, European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE), Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) and newly launched NBAA Light Business Airplane Exhibition & Conference (LBA). This position has direct responsibility for the housing function and special events at all NBAA shows. Housing duties include negotiating contracts, assigning room blocks for Exhibitors and Attendees, determining flow patterns, and handling all staff, VIP and support vendor rooming. ABACE Dates Announced for 2009
The dates and locale for the 2009 NBAA Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2009) have been determined. Hong Kong again will host the annual event, which will take place next year on Wednesday, February 11 and Thursday, February 12. Indoor exhibits will be located at the Asia World Expo, with a Static Display of Aircraft at Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre. This year's event was an enormous success, with a total of 1,131 people and 29 Exhibitors in attendance, and numerous sessions featuring industry experts discussing airspace and regulatory issues for operating in the Asian region.
