NBAA to Relocate 2008 Annual Meeting & Convention
NBAA has made the difficult decision to move its 2008 Annual Meeting & Convention from New Orleans to Orlando. "We have been looking forward to hosting our Convention in New Orleans in 2008, consistent with our desire to assist the city in recovering from Hurricane Katrina," said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. "Reluctantly, we have made the difficult decision that we will not be able to host the Annual Meeting & Convention in New Orleans, but will have to move it to Orlando," he said. NBAA2007 to Celebrate Several Industry Milestones
At the NBAA 60th Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2007) this September in Atlanta, GA, the Association will celebrate not only its 60th anniversary, but also the 100th anniversary of powered flight in Georgia and several other noteworthy milestones for NBAA Member Companies. Gulfstream will commemorate 40 years in Georgia by displaying several early-model aircraft on NBAA's Static Display of Aircraft. In addition, this year marks the 80th anniversary of Cessna and 75th anniversary of Hawker Beechcraft. NBAA will help commemorate the Georgia Centennial of Flight by proclaiming Thursday, September 27, to be Georgia Aviation Day. NBAA2007 will continue to build on the enormous success of NBAA2006, which broke numerous records with 33,088 Attendees, 1,140 Exhibitors, 5,235 10-foot by 10-foot booth spaces, 115 aircraft on Static Display and over 100 Information Sessions. Special Flight to Commemorate NBAA and Georgia Anniversaries
In 2007, NBAA marks 60 years of service to Members since its founding in New York, and the State of Georgia marks 100 years since Ben Epps built and flew his monoplane in 1907, becoming the state's first pilot. To commemorate these milestones, NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen; Pat Epps, representing his home state of Georgia and his father, Georgia's first aviator; and FAA Ambassador for Aviation and Space Education Jamail Larkins will fly from New York to DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, home of Epps Aviation. The flight will take place on Saturday September 22, and will be made in a Cessna Mustang, generously provided by Cessna Aircraft Company, which coincidentally is marking its 80th anniversary.

Sponsorships Available for Flight Attendants Conference
Business aviation flight attendants will gather at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina in California on June 29 and 30 for the NBAA 12th Annual Flight Attendants Conference. This event is also attended and supported by service providers, such as caterers, FBOs, handlers, trainers and others, who work closely with flight attendants. NBAA2007 Exhibitors Advised of Fraudulent Housing Claims
The Association has notified NBAA2007 Exhibitors and Delegates that recent fraudulent e-mail and fax messages may have been sent by a company claiming to offer discounted hotel rates for NBAA2007. NBAA advises all Members and Exhibitors that Travel Planners is the only official housing provider working in partnership with NBAA. Any housing company outside of Travel Planners is not endorsed by NBAA and therefore cannot guarantee room availability or rates.
