More Than 10,000 Expected at EBACE2007; Limited Space Still Available
Exhibitors are urged to act now to participate in the 7th Annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2007), to be held May 22 though 24 in Geneva. EBACE is the best place in Europe to find business aviation products and services from the world's top vendors, to learn about the latest operational issues and to meet face-to-face with the regulators and government officials who make decisions that directly affect business aviation operations in Europe and around the world. More than 10,000 people will view over 300 exhibits in Halls 6 and 7 of Geneva PALEXPO and 50 aircraft at the Static Display of Aircraft on Geneva International Airport. EBACE2007 Exhibitor Service Kit Now Available Online
The EBACE2007 Exhibitor Service Kit is now available online, and discounts are available to Exhibitors who submit their orders early for Exhibitor services. The discount cutoff dates vary with the different services, so please review the "Key Dates and Deadlines" information sheet provided and submit orders early. EBACE2007 Keynoter Is Dr. Bertrand Piccard
Famed aviator Dr. Bertrand Piccard will deliver the keynote address at the EBACE2007 Opening General Session to be held at Geneva PALEXPO, in Ballroom B on Tuesday, May 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Piccard is the European champion in hang-glider aerobatics and is most famous as captain of the Breitling Orbiter 3, the first non-stop, around-the-world balloon flight. European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) President Michel Wachenheim will be the special guest speaker. Themed "How Business Aviation Helps Fuel the European Entrepreneurial Spirit," the Opening General Session will be moderated by EBAA CEO Brian Humphries and NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. NBAA Co-Hosts New Safety Standdown Europe This May
New in 2007, Safety Standdown Europe is a non-commercial effort by Bombardier, NBAA and the European Business Aviation Association to provide insight and knowledge designed to change the way operators think about safety. The information presented at the Safety Standdown is not aircraft- or manufacturer-specific. The event will be held May 24 and 25 in Geneva, Switzerland, immediately following EBACE2007. Atlanta Local Committee Announced for NBAA2007
An Atlanta Local Committee has been formed in preparation for NBAA's 60th Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2007), to be held September 25 through 27, 2007, in Atlanta, GA, at the Georgia World Congress Center and Fulton County Airport. The Committee, composed of NBAA Members who are also leaders in the Atlanta area, will assist in all aspects of the preparations for the Convention. "The people involved in Atlanta's diverse business aviation community will be critical in making this year's Convention our best yet," said NBAA Senior Vice President, Conventions, Seminars & Forums Kathleen Blouin. Be a Part of Anniversary Celebrations at NBAA2007
NBAA invites all Associate Members to exhibit at NBAA2007, where the Association will celebrate both its 60th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of powered flight in Georgia. NBAA2007 will continue to build on the enormous successes of NBAA2006, which broke numerous records with 33,088 Attendees, 1,140 Exhibitors, 5,235 10-foot by 10-foot booth spaces, 115 aircraft on Static Display and over 100 Information Sessions. This year's official Attendee Headquarters hotel is the OMNI, and the annual Benefit Gala, featuring Huey Lewis and the News, is slated to be held the evening of Wednesday, September 26, in the Murphy Ballroom of the Georgia World Congress Center. Exhibit Opportunities Available at Upcoming Regional Forums
On March 22, more than 600 people attended NBAA's Business Aviation Regional Forum at the Aero Toy Store facility on Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE). The Florida event featured 47 Exhibitors and 25 static aircraft. Sessions were held on the top issues facing business aviation today, with a special focus on aircraft ownership, security and ethical dilemmas facing flight departments. Exhibit space is available for upcoming Regional Forums to be held on April 26 in White Plains, NY; June 8 in St. Louis, MO; and November 8 in Oakland, CA. Recent NBAA Conferences Have Good Turnout
NBAA's two most recent Conferences focused on international operators and maintenance managers had strong turnouts in San Diego, CA. In the last week of March, the NBAA 34th Annual International Operators Conference drew 520 people from countries from around the world for four days of sessions focused on international flying. The success of this event was followed by the Maintenance Management Conference, which drew close to 200 maintenance professionals by addressing topics related to aircraft maintenance and facility management. Each event provided many opportunities to network with industry peers, and the Maintenance Management Conference additionally offered tabletop exhibits. Safety Seminar Offers Exhibit and Sponsorship Opportunities
NBAA and Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) will co-host the 52nd Annual Corporate Aviation Safety Seminar (CASS) from May 8 to 10 in Tucson, AZ. More than 400 representatives of business operators attend the CASS yearly. The seminar features presentations by leaders of industry, operators and users, government officials and university researchers. Business aviation flight attendants will gather at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina in California on June 29 and 30 for the NBAA 12th Annual Flight Attendants Conference. Flight attendants play a critical role in the safety of business aviation passengers. From flight safety to food safety, the issues addressed at the Conference are both relevant and important to every flight.
