Highlights From ABACE2007 Available Online
The second Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2007) was held February 6 and 7 at AsiaWorld Expo Convention Center located on the perimeter of Hong Kong International Airport. "It truly was a superb venue with indoor exhibits and Information Sessions located in AsiaWorld Expo, a short bus ride from the Static Display of Aircraft at Hong Kong Business Aviation Center", said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. "The proximity of the two facilities made it very convenient for Attendees and Exhibitors to access all that ABACE had to offer." ABACE2007 closed with more than 2,200 registered Attendees, 65 indoor Exhibitors and 12 aircraft on Static Display, making it the largest business aviation event in the region. NBAA's Regional Forum Visits Fort Lauderdale This Month
NBAA will host its next Business Aviation Regional Forum on March 22 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Regional Forum is a day-long learning and networking experience designed to meet the needs of the regional business aviation community, and to provide an introduction to local business leaders interested in learning more about business aviation. The Fort Lauderdale event will feature approximately 50 Exhibitors, 20 static aircraft, hundreds of Attendees and sessions on the top issues facing business aviation today, with a special focus on aircraft ownership, security and ethical dilemmas facing flight departments. EBACE2007 Exhibit and Sponsorship Opportunities Still Available
The 7th Annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2007) will be held May 22 through 24 in Geneva, Switzerland. Close to 10,000 people will gather in Halls 6 and 7 of Geneva PALEXPO and at the Static Display of Aircraft on nearby Geneva International Airport. Exhibit space is selling fast, but some space is still available. Exhibitors are encouraged to return their applications and payments as soon as possible to guarantee a space. The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and NBAA, co-producers of EBACE, request nominations for the 2007 European Business Aviation Award. Created to honor individuals who have made a significant contribution to the advancement of business aviation in Europe, the award is presented each year to one or more individuals during EBACE. Plan now to attend the NBAA 60th Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2007) from September 25 to 27 in Atlanta, GA, where the Association will celebrate both its 60th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of powered flight in Georgia. The NBAA Maintenance Management Conference is business aviation's single dedicated event for individuals involved in aircraft maintenance and facility management. Slated for April 2 through 4 in San Diego, CA, this year's event will benefit anyone involved in aircraft maintenance, hangar facility management or personnel supervision. Attendees will learn best practices guidelines and strategies for aircraft maintenance management, guidance on the application of new technologies and the latest in regulatory changes and requirements. NBAA Co-Hosts New Safety Standdown Europe This May
New in 2007, Safety Standdown Europe is a non-commercial effort by Bombardier, NBAA and the European Business Aviation Association to provide insight and knowledge designed to change the way operators think about safety. The information presented at the Safety Standdown is not aircraft or manufacturer specific. The event will be held May 24 and 25 in Geneva, Switzerland, immediately following EBACE2007. Attend PDP-Accredited IS-BAO Implementation Workshop at EBACE2007
The International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) is an industry code of best practices that was developed by the business aviation community to enhance the safety, security, efficiency and effectiveness of flight departments and on-demand charter operations. The IS-BAO Implementation Workshop to be held on May 21 in Geneva, the day before EBACE2007, is an opportunity for business aircraft operators to learn more about IS-BAO, share ideas with others who are implementing it and build a network that will help guide them through the process. The event provides an IS-BAO overview and guidance on implementation, the risk-assessment process, safety management systems and audit considerations.
