Exhibit Floor Completely Sells Out for First Time in NBAA Convention History
At five weeks out, the NBAA 59th Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2006) exhibit floor has completely sold out, with close to 1,150 Exhibitors registered and 5,216 10-foot by 10-foot booth spaces sold. This year's event, to be held October 17 through 19 in Orlando, FL, also will feature 11 fixed-wing aircraft and four helicopters at the Orange County Convention Center, the most aircraft ever shown on the exhibit floor. More than 100 additional business aircraft will be displayed at the nearby Static Display on Orlando Executive Airport. In comparison to last year, Attendee registrations are running ahead, with thousands of people already signed up. "The NBAA Convention highlights the rich diversity within the business aviation community," said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. "I'm pleased that the event is such a valuable offering for everyone in our industry, and I look forward to seeing our Exhibitors and Attendees in Orlando next month." NBAA Connect: New Tool Matches Up Convention Attendees and Exhibitors
New for NBAA2006, the Association has introduced a resource called NBAA Connect that enables Attendees to customize their Convention experience. After registering, Attendees are provided with log-in credentials and invited to access NBAA Connect, the Attendee web-based portal, where they can search for Exhibitors, sessions, products, services and people most important to them based on their job function, products of interest and other criteria. Using that information, they are able to create a personalized, printable event schedule and floorplan to use at the show. NBAA Connect also enables Attendees to communicate with other Attendees and with Exhibitors based on their criteria. All individuals registered for NBAA2006 – both individuals and Exhibitors – will receive credentials to access NBAA Connect as Attendees. New SmartBooth Feature Helps Exhibitors Identify Prospects
In addition to NBAA Connect, NBAA2006 Exhibitors also may take advantage of the Association's new web-based SmartBooth feature. Exhibitors have the ability to purchase a variety of SmartBooth plans that help them: identify high-potential customer prospects from all registered Attendees; in advance of the show, identify new potential markets emerging around their specific products or services; after the show, acquire lists of additional high-potential prospects, along with tools to contact them; view profiles of Attendees who expressed interest in their products; obtain return-on-investment reporting on their participation at NBAA2006; and purchase keywords that put them at the top of Attendee search results. Register Personnel Online by Oct. 2 for Exhibitor Badge Service
NBAA offers the convenience of online badge registration to NBAA2006 Exhibitors. All Exhibitors will receive a user ID and password to access the web-based registration system. Exhibitors are asked to register all personnel online by October 2. If the registration is completed online by October 2, NBAA will mail Exhibitor badges to one company representative. Badges not mailed can be collected at the Registration areas in the Convention Center or at Orlando Executive Airport. For more information about Exhibitor badges or online registration, visit:

NBAA2006 Static Display Reception Set for Oct. 17
During NBAA2006, the Association will host a Static Display Reception from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17 at the Showalter Flying Service facility on Orlando Executive Airport. During the reception, Attendees will have an opportunity to enjoy refreshments and view more than 110 state-of-the-art business aircraft on display. NBAA Invites Members to Donate Benefit Auction Items
During NBAA2006, the Association will hold Silent and Live Benefit Auctions to benefit NBAA Charities, a charitable fund to provide support to worthy causes in the business aviation community. Attendees may bid on the Silent Auction items displayed at the Orange County Convention Center on October 17 and 18, and successful bidders will be awarded on October 19. The Live Auction will be held during the NBAA Gala at the Peabody Orlando Hotel on the evening of October 18. (Note: Tickets are required to enter the Gala.) NBAA is mailing information to Members this month about how to participate in the Benefit Auctions and to make auction donations. Gala Featuring The Commodores and Starship & Friends Almost Sold Out
The Association offers NBAA2006 Exhibitors an ideal opportunity to entertain their customers with a night of Motown and classic rock. On the evening of October 18, NBAA will host its Gala, featuring entertainment by The Commodores and Starship & Friends. Attendees will dance to hits such as "Brick House," "Lady" and "Too Hot to Trot" by The Commodores, and favorites such as "We Built This City" and "Eye of the Tiger" by Starship & Friends. A limited number of individual seats ($165) and tables of 10 ($1,500) are still available for purchase. NBAA2006 hotel rates have been negotiated by NBAA to give Exhibitors the lowest rates at official show hotels; no pre-payment for hotel reservations; immediate confirmations; the option to update or cancel hotel reservations online without fees or penalties; and descriptions, photos and maps to aid in choosing hotels. FAA NOTAM for 2006 NBAA Convention
In anticipation of a large number of aircraft operating to and from the Orlando, FL, area in conjunction with the NBAA 59th Annual Meeting & Convention this October, the FAA is issuing procedures to enhance safety and minimize air traffic delays. The agency has submitted a 2006 NBAA Convention NOTAM for publishing in the September 28, 2006, NOTAM cycle. NBAA is providing that document for operators in advance for their reference. NBAA Regional Forum Returns to Long Beach, Nov. 16
Having last visited Long Beach, CA, in early 2003, NBAA will return to the AirFlite facility on Long Beach Airport (LGB) on November 16 for a Business Aviation Regional Forum. This event is a day-long learning and networking experience designed to meet the needs of the regional business aviation community, and to provide an introduction to local business leaders interested in learning more about business aviation. The Long Beach Regional Forum will feature approximately 60 Exhibitors, 30 static aircraft and sessions on FAA, NTSB and DOT investigations, international flight planning and state tax issues for business aviation, with emphasis on issues relevant to California and neighboring states. Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference Exhibitor Prospectus Now Online
The NBAA 18th Annual Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Conference will be held January 21 to 24 at the new Phoenix Convention Center. This event, NBAA's largest seminar, provides Associate Members an opportunity to meet those individuals directly responsible for the scheduling and dispatching of aircraft from various-sized flight departments throughout the world. The Priority 1, 2 and 3 deadline for Exhibitors is October 27. Conference attendance for 2006 was a record breaker with 2,200 registered Attendees and 322 Exhibiting Companies, and an even greater turnout is expected for 2007. S&D Conference Introduces New Show Program in 2007
Similar to the directory that is distributed at the NBAA Convention each year, the NBAA 18th Annual Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference will introduce a new Show Program and Directory of Exhibiting Companies in 2007. Distributed to Attendees at the Conference with their credentials, the Show Program will include pertinent information relative to exhibits, sessions, social gatherings and other events. NBAA Dispatch is the Association's newsletter for business aviation schedulers and dispatchers. This full-color, four-page publication communicates relevant information for enhancing a scheduler/dispatcher's effectiveness within a company flight department, as well as details about the annual NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference and other NBAA S&D Committee activities. Arizona Events Offer Special Opportunity for Exhibitors This January
Associate Members are invited to take advantage of the back-to-back scheduling of NBAA's two Arizona events this January. Immediately following the NBAA 18th Annual Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference in Phoenix, an NBAA Business Aviation Regional Forum will be held on Thursday, January 25, at the Scottsdale Jet Center on Scottsdale Airport (SDL).
