NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention Rises in the Ranks of Largest U.S. Trade Shows
The NBAA 2005 Annual Meeting & Convention has risen to 37th place in the ranking of largest U.S. trade shows based on square footage occupied by exhibits, according to Tradeshow Week 200. The 2004 Annual Meeting & Convention was in 39th place. The Tradeshow Week 200 ranking does not include the approximately 500,000 square feet of space used by the NBAA Static Display of Aircraft that is held in conjunction with the Convention. If the Static Display's outdoor space were included in determining the ranking, the NBAA Convention would rank in the top 10 largest shows in the United States. NBAA and ABAG Reschedule LABACE2006: Combination of Factors Force Deferment of this Year's Event
NBAA and the Associação Brasileira de Aviação Geral (ABAG) today announced that a combination of factors, including significant issues related to an accelerated construction project at Congonhas Airport, has forced the associations to reschedule this year's Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE2006). The event, which is organized jointly by NBAA and ABAG, was scheduled to take place August 10 through 12, 2006, at Congonhas Airport in São Paulo, Brazil. "We regret having to make this move, but NBAA and ABAG are convinced that the decision to reschedule this year's event is in the best interest of our Members, Exhibitors, Attendees and future LABACE events. Hundreds Expected at Dulles Regional Forum Tomorrow
Hundreds of Attendees are expected to attend NBAA's next Business Aviation Regional Forum, to be held Thursday, June 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Landmark Aviation facility on Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). As keynote speaker, NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen will offer remarks touching upon a range of proposals being debated in the federal policy arena. Representatives from both the industry and government will have access to informational sessions, exhibits, more than 20 static aircraft and FAA air traffic management personnel, who will be available for questions about air traffic management procedures and policies in the mid-Atlantic region. NBAA Releases Dates of 2007 Conferences and Regional Forums
NBAA has announced the dates of its 2007 Conferences and Business Aviation Regional Forums. The Association provides a variety of ways for the business aviation community to exchange information, including a series of Conferences targeting members of the corporate flight department – including flight department managers, maintenance managers, schedulers and dispatchers, flight attendants and international operators – as well as several Business Aviation Regional Forums each year. NBAA's Regional Forums bring business aircraft owners, operators, manufacturers, customers and other industry personnel together for a one-day event at some of the best airports and FBOs in the nation and abroad. The Show Guide is helpful in familiarizing visitors with the happenings at the year's most important international business aviation event and provides many advertising opportunities.
