The next Safety Standdown USA will be held from September 28 to October 1, 2009, in Wichita, KS, at the Hyatt Regency Wichita Hotel.
Offered by Bombardier in partnership with the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the 13th Annual Safety Standdown USA is a non-commercial effort to improve business aviation safety by combining skill-based training with knowledge-based training.
This seminar is offered free of charge and features subject-matter experts presenting on topics such as crew resource management, professional airmanship, advanced aerodynamics for business aviation and fatigue countermeasures. Safety Standdown is not aircraft- or manufacturer-specific, and the information presented is applicable to any aircraft flown.
Why Do We Need This Training?
Since eight out of 10 aircraft accidents are caused by human failure, not equipment failure, Safety Standdown provides critical information and training on topics directly related to human performance. Additionally, this seminar provides participants with tools to mitigate risk, improve flight department procedures and processes, and analyze their own performance and professionalism.
