Regional Leadership Roundtable

NBAA's Local and Regional Group Committee and the Chicago Area Business Aviation Association (CABAA) will host the 2017 Local and Regional Group Leadership Roundtable on May 17th in Chicago, Illinois. The committee is continuing their valuable work with local and regional groups and is looking forward to making this the most productive roundtable yet.

The event offers regional group leaders the opportunity to share best practices with their peers and provide valuable tools, resources and takeaways that attendees can bring back to their respective groups.

Prior to the roundtable, attendees are invited to also attend networking events the evening of May 16th which will be held as a Chicago Gangster Tour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. followed by dinner provided at Lou Mainati's, a Chicago tradition.

The Official Roundtable event will be held the next day at The Congress Plaza Hotel and Convention Center on May 17th including leadership discussions on many topics including:

  • Discussion of topics derived by the committees surveys of participants of local and regional group networking sessions on the last year, including membership growth and retention, legislative advocacy, group board development, scholarship and mentoring opportunities and new group development.

  • Review of FAA Reauthorization advocacy and call to action strategies.

  • Keynote Speaker will be Lt. Col. Ron Mumm, the 1996 Commander of the United States Air Force Thunderbirds.

  • Afternoon breakout sessions will be held for a more in depth discussion of groups’ different areas of focus.

  • Throughout the Roundtable, regional group stakeholders will be offering discussions on tax structures, legislative strategies, industry internships, scholarships and other topics to be identified by regional group leaders.

Note: Attendance for this event is limited to current regional group leaders and those in the process of starting a new regional business aviation organization.
