Employing the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO)
All flight departments should have up-to-date flight operations manuals that set forth policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective flight operations. This highly interactive workshop covers safety management systems, standard operating procedures, flight operations, training, administration/organization, maintenance and international standards. The instructor draws upon the experiences of workshop participants to demonstrate how flight departments really operate.
NBAA’s highly acclaimed Flight Operations Manual Workshop incorporates IS-BAO, a code of good operating practices devised by NBAA in conjunction with the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) to promote highly professional operational practices in flight departments. After years of development, a set of standards and practices has been established and is acceptable to most world aviation authorities. Flight departments that demonstrate compliance with these standards are eligible to receive a certificate of registration from IBAC.
Participants will leave the workshop with sufficient knowledge and materials to develop an IS-BAO-compliant draft manual upon arrival back at home base.
This course meets NBAA PDP Operations Objectives 1 and 4. It is held in conjunction with NBAA's Management Fundamentals for Flight Departments Workshop.
