NBAA’s 2014 International Operators Conference Presents Real-Life Operational Information
Jan. 30, 2014
This year’s International Operators Conference (IOC2014), which will be held March 17 to 20 in Tampa, FL, will feature the business aviation industry’s top training providers, handlers and operators who fly internationally, and will provide attendees with real-life information that is critical to anyone involved in business aircraft planning, operations or flying in the international arena.
“The International Operators Conference, developed by NBAA’s International Operations Committee, is the business aviation industry’s single-best source for operational and regulatory information for anyone operating in the international aviation environment,” said Doug Carr, NBAA’s vice president, regulatory and international affairs.
“We are pleased to bring together an elite group of presenters, including representatives from the National Transportation Safety Board, U.S. and Canadian customs agencies and some of business aviation’s most experienced international operators to share their knowledge with our attendees,” he added.
The four-day conference will begin with a safety day designed to raise scenarios for which an operator’s domestic training might not prepare them for the demands required when flying internationally. The following three days of educational content will cover topics such as: pending near-term avionics mandates, understanding regulatory requirements throughout the world and regional operational updates.
“The IOC’s regional sessions are always popular with attendees. These sessions provide attendees with an opportunity to learn the latest regulatory and operational issues relevant in the regions in which they fly,” said Carr. “For example, our South American forum will provide real-life insight into flying to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and paying Venezuelan navigation fees. Attendees are able to ask questions and get experienced advice from our presenters.”
The conference will be held at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina. Discounted advance registration is available until Feb. 24.
