Whether business aviation is your vocation or your avocation, you don’t want to miss NBAA’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA2013), set for Oct. 22 to 24 in Las Vegas, NV. The nation’s sixth-largest trade show, it’s the only event exclusive to business aviation that offers more exhibits under one roof than any other. NBAA2013 features two aircraft static displays (one inside the exhibit hall and another airport-based display) and provides unmatched value for the event’s 25,000 attendees. NBAA Convention Report provides news and highlights for NBAA2013. Don’t miss the excitement – register today for NBAA2013.

The impact of an increasingly competitive global economy on business aviation is a key concern for the industry, and will be the focus of a keynote address delivered by former U.S. Treasury Secretary John Snow at the Oct. 22 Opening General Session of NBAA2013. Snow has considerable experience with transportation and business aviation from his tenure as president, CEO and chairman of CSX Corporation. Joining Snow for the session will be FAA Administrator Michael Huerta and other industry and government leaders. Read more about Snow and the Opening General Session.

For attendees’ convenience, NBAA is offering six Professional Development Program (PDP) courses either before or after NBAA2013, on topics ranging from human factors in corporate aviation to enhancing productivity through business aviation. NBAA’s PDP was developed to prepare business aviation professionals for management roles within business aviation flight departments. The program encourages participation in coursework, recognizes outstanding participants and rewards those seeking careers in business aviation. Learn more about the PDP courses.

Single-Pilot Safety Standdown Helps Prevent Accidents, Save Lives

Single-Pilot Safety Standdown Helps Prevent Accidents, Save Lives
If you fly your own airplane for business, you won’t want to miss the Single-Pilot Safety Standdown that will again be a part of NBAA’s Convention. The value of the standdown is perhaps best expressed by business aviators themselves: “I adjust my entire show schedule around the safety seminars and all the educational classes NBAA offers,” reports Jeff Greenberg, who flies a Cessna Citation Jet in support of his aviation leasing and commercial real estate business. Greenberg took to the Internet last month to encourage members of the aviation groups to which he belongs, including the Citation Jet Pilots Owner Pilot Association (CJP), to participate in this year’s Single-Pilot Safety Standdown, sponsored by Cessna. The all-day seminar will be held on Oct. 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Read more about the Single-Pilot Safety Standdown.
