NBAA Members Can Contact Congress at Convention

October 18, 2013

At NBAA2013, NBAA is making it easy for Members to utilize the Association’s Contact Congress resource to make sure that their elected representatives are aware of the concerns of their constituents regarding aviation-related issues.

Attendees can utilize Contact Congress workstations at Booth N904 in the exhibit hall, where with a few clicks they can contact their congressional representative or senators and let them know how they feel about the importance of business aviation to the nation and its economy.

Users have the opportunity to email congressional members or send them direct messages via Twitter.

“It’s important for business aviation advocates to let their legislators know about the issues that affect them,” said Lisa Piccione, NBAA senior vice president for government affairs. “Business aviation is an economic driver in our country and plays in the success of U.S. businesses, the economic development of small towns and communities, and the jobs of more than a million of U.S. workers.”

Piccione urged NBAA Members attending the Convention to take advantage of the easy-to-use Contact Congress tool. She also encouraged all Members – whether at the show or not – to utilize Contact Congress to let their voices be heard.

“Members of Congress are most attentive when they hear from their constituents in their district or state,” said Piccione.
