Developer of iPad Apps Exhibits, Joins Panel and Seeks New Partners at NBAA2011

ForeFlight is a company that makes apps for pilots. Founded only four years ago, the 10-person company is already one of the leading providers of flight planning, chart management and pre-flight weather apps for the iPad. This is their first year exhibiting at NBAA's Convention.

"This show is extremely important for us because over the past nine months we've really grown strongly in the business aviation market," said Tyson Weihs, ForeFlight managing director. "So being here in front of prospective customers is essential for the next step of our company."

The company's flagship app is ForeFlight Mobile HD. It gives pilots access to interactive weather data, directory information on major airports globally, air traffic procedures for North American airports and more.

On Tuesday, Weihs will participate in a panel presentation for one of NBAA2011's most popular education sessions, "iPads in the Cockpit." The session is not just an opportunity to educate operators, but to get the company's name out.

NBAA2011 is also an opportunity for the ForeFlight team to meet their existing customers face-to-face, and to meet prospective partners. "Earlier this year we completed our first avionics integration, where you can move flight plans from ForeFlight into your avionics," said Weihs. "We're very interested in visiting the other booths and meeting avionics and hardware vendors that will make that integration possible."
