Weren’t Able to Attend NBAA2008? Many Convention Sessions Available Through NBAA On Demand Education

ORLANDO, FL, October 8, 2008 – For those who were unable to attend NBAA’s 61st Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2008) in person, the Association is making a host of Information Sessions from the event available online through its On-Demand Education Program.

"NBAA On-Demand Education is ideal for Members that were unable to attend NBAA2008," said NBAA’s Jo Damato, director, operations & educational development. "But it’s also great for Members that were there, but couldn’t make it to every session that they wanted to."

Through NBAA’s On-Demand Education Program, business aviation professionals can access selections from the Association’s information-packed Information Sessions taking place at NBAA regional and national events, as Internet-based streaming video or video CD-ROM.

And this year, the Association is offering more sessions from its Annual Meeting & Convention available than ever before, with many at a reduced cost to Members and some free for everyone.

"We’re really excited about this," said Damato. "This is a very significant increase over what we’ve offered before. We’re offering 14 sessions via video with synched slides and nine sessions via audio. Several are available for free and for the sessions that have a cost, Members will pay a reduced price, equivalent to the discount they receive when they attend in person."

Operators may be particularly interested in today’s session, "Crucial Knowledge: Technology & Regulatory Review for Success."

"We’re offering the audio of this session for free to everyone," said Damato. "In fact, we’re giving away all three Wednesday sessions in audio for free." That includes a session on "Enhanced Vision Systems and Synthetic Vision Systems" and another on "Operational Control for Part 91 and Part 135."

In addition,"NBAA Emergency Response Planning – What Flight Crews Can Do To Be Prepared for an Accident and Aircraft Emergency," will be available free to members of the business aviation community, and the entire proceedings of the NBAA 17th Annual Tax, Regulatory & Risk Management Conference will be available for purchase at a reduced rate for NBAA Members.

In the future, Damato hopes to significantly expand On-Demand Education offerings and improve the way the selections are organized on the Association’s web site.

"Members will be able to search through offerings and find every session available on the topic they’re looking for," said Damato. "We’re making On-Demand Education an increasingly convenient way for our Members to connect with the educational material that’s essential to their business."
