NBAA today wrapped up the third and final day of its 2016 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Orlando, FL. “At the convention center and the airport alike, exhibitors and attendees have told us that this year’s NBAA-BACE was a resounding success,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “The activity level was high, and the enthusiasm was strong. Held on the closing day, this forum included a powerful reaffirmation of NBAA’s commitment to industry safety and a detailed examination of the many potential links in the chain leading to a fatal accident. NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen began the day’s activities by acknowledging the inaugural recipients of the Dr. Tony Kern Professionalism in Aviation Award, which was presented to 18 aviation professionals from across the industry who have demonstrated their outstanding professionalism and leadership in support of safe operating practices in business aviation. Every year, the third day of NBAA-BACE is focused on the future, with an annual Careers in Business Aviation Day for high school and college students who want to learn about the industry. This year’s program, attended by more students than ever, featured Dreams Soar founder Shaesta Waiz and UAS expert Taylor Butterfield.
