Governors in three states, as well as officials in six cities and counties across the country, recently issued proclamations declaring their appreciation for general aviation, including business aviation, for their state or community.

The proclamations were issued by the following states, cities and counties:

States:

Cities/Counties:

All the proclamations contain several tenets of the No Plane No Gain advocacy campaign, an ongoing effort to communicate to government leaders and the general public about the value of business aviation.

No Plane No Gain was launched in 2009 by NBAA and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), and Gov. Sonny Perdue of Georgia was the first to issue an “Aviation Appreciation Month” proclamation. Leaders of the remaining 49 states have followed with similar recognitions in the five years since.

Mayors and other high-ranking officials of local communities joined the states in issuing such proclamations starting in 2013, with more than 100 now recorded.
