Southern California Group Hosting Career Event on May 2
The Southern California Aviation Association (SCAA) is hosting an aviation career immersion event with a tour of FlightSafety Learning Center on May 2 in Long Beach, CA from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. the event will introduce students to a variety of careers working in and around business aviation, and address how best to pursue a career that supports their interest in this industry. Austin Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshop Being Held May 3
The International Business Aviation Council’s Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshop is designed to assist operators with their International Standard for Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) implementation efforts and provide a practical approach to managing a safety management system based on ICAO principles. A workshops will be offered on May 3 in Austin, TX, in conjunction with the Business Aviation Safety Summit. Learn more and register.

Save the Date: Greater Washington Safety Standdown on May 5

Business Aviation Safety Summit Set for May 5 and 6 in Austin, TX
The annual Business Aviation Safety Summit (BASS) is set for May 5 and 6 in Austin, TX. The forum provides an opportunity for the business aviation industry to meet in a collaborative environment to identify safety concerns, devise approaches to reduce risk and implement initiatives to improve safety. The summit, organized by Flight Safety Foundation in partnership with NBAA, covers safety, training, practical solutions management, human factors and other issues for every segment of the business aviation industry. Massachusetts Group Hosts Statehouse Event May 17

Ohio Group Holding Training Event May 18
The Ohio Regional Business Aviation Association (ORBAA) is holding its annual spring training event on May 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MAPS Museum in North Canton, OH. Speakers include: Bob Lamond, NBAA’s director of air traffic services and infrastructure; Eric Moilanen, from NBAA’s Security Council and Premier Corporate Security, Inc. and Lucille Fisher, former chair of the NBAA Operations Committee and S&D Committee, Quality Resources, LLC. The Long Island Business Aviation Association (LIBAA) and the Long Island Professional Maintenance Association (LIPAMA) will hold their annual scholarship golf outing on May 25 at the Rock Hill Country Club in Manorville, NY. Tampa Bay Group Holding Golfing Charity Event May 27
The Tampa Bay Aviation Association is holding its annual charity golf event on May 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at a location to be announced. Past events have raised more than $39,000 for the All Children's Hospital Guild Seminole/Largo Branch, which benefits the All Children's Hospital and its programs. Marshall County Airport Holding Fly-In June 19
Marshall County Airport (C75) in Lacon, IL, is holding its annual fly-in breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon on Sunday, June 19. The event includes airport and helicopter rides, as well as a static display of aircraft. Learn more.
