The largest and most active NBAA Regional Forum to date will be held at New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport (TEB) on Thursday, June 10 at Jet Aviation. NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen said expectations are running high for the Forum, where over 1,000 business aviation professionals are expected to be in attendance.
Katrina Bradshaw, NBAA Director of Sales, Regional Forums and Static Displays, agreed with Bolen’s assessment. “This Forum is soaring past previous records, both for exhibitors and attendees,” she said. “We’ve shoe-horned in about 30 static display aircraft and over 90 indoor exhibits. We think attendance at the Teterboro Forum may even top this year’s Van Nuys NBAA Regional Forum, which had more than 1,100 business aviation professionals.”
Bradshaw noted that the TEB event demonstrates the value of NBAA’s Regional Forums, which bring Exhibitors and expertise to locations across the country where the Association’s Members are actually doing business.
The Forums, Bradshaw said, provide a venue for discussion of the issues confronting NBAA Members at the local level: the airport policies, city council ordinances and proposals from state legislatures that impact business aviation flight operations in a specific city, state or region.
Additionally, the events play an advocacy role in helping those in business aviation communicate about the value of a flight operation not just to their own company leaders, but also to local elected officials and even news organizations. Furthermore, the events serve as unparalleled opportunities for networking with peers in the local business aviation community.
Mike Nichols, NBAA’s Vice President, Operations, Education & Economics, said: “Business aviation professionals are under increasing pressure to articulate the ways an airplane supports a company’s overall business objectives. NBAA’s Regional Forums put the tools in Members’ hands for measuring and communicating about the effective use of a company’s airplane.”
Other TEB Forum sessions include a discussion on strategies for making a business aircraft stand out in a crowded sales marketplace, and a separate session on best practices for confronting an accident.
NBAA Operations Staff and officials from FAA Air Traffic Management will also be on hand to answer questions about business aircraft ownership and air traffic operating procedures in the Northeast U.S.
“Like all of NBAA’s Regional Forums, our Teterboro event will provide a variety of services all in one place, and we know our Members value that,” Bradshaw said.
The TEB Regional Forum will be the third this year, following successful events in Houston, Texas and Van Nuys, California. The last NBAA Regional Forum for the year is scheduled for August 18 in Chicago IL.
