NBAA today presented its Silk Scarf Award to Jay Mesinger in recognition of his exemplary efforts on behalf of NBAA and business aviation.

In particular, the award honors Mesinger’s grassroots advocacy work, his expertise in the international arena and his strong leadership as chairman of NBAA’s Associate Member Advisory Council.

Mesinger is the CEO and founder of Mesinger Jet Sales and has 37 years of experience in the aviation industry. He founded Mesinger Jet Sales more than 23 years ago and has developed it into an international aircraft brokerage firm.

As the former chairman of NBAA’s Associate Member Advisory Council, Mesinger served as one of two Associate Member advisors on the NBAA Board of Directors. He joined the Board at 2007 and his term concluded during NBAA’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA2013) in Las Vegas, NV.

During his Board tenure, he served on the Nominating Committee. He also has served on customer advisory boards for Duncan Aviation and Jet Aviation and has written The Mesinger Report, a dealer/broker newsletter, for more than 20 years.
