Martha's Vineyard, MA Temporary Flight Restriction Required Routes

As part of Presidential travel, a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) NOTAM has been issued for the Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts area on August 10-18, 2013. While a NOTAM has been released, historically revisions are issued during the President's travel.

Members are strongly advised to check NOTAMS in advance of any flights in the MVY area during August 10-18.

Required Routes to Cape Airports During the Martha's Vineyard TFR

As a result of the presidential TFR at Martha's Vinyard, there are a number of required reroutes that have been issued by Boston Center (ZBW). These routes are for traffic arriving and departing a number of airports in the Cape area. These airports include Martha's Vineyard Airport (MVY), Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK), Barnstable Municipal Airport-Boardman/Polando Field (HYA), Cape Cod Coast Guard Air Station (FMH), Chatham Municipal Airport (CQX), Plymouth Municipal Airport (PYM), Provincetown Municipal Airport (PVC), Falmouth Airpark (5B6) and Cape Cod Airport (2B1).

IFR Arrival Routes from Boston Center Airspace

Outlined below are the only approved IFR arrival routes to ACK, MVY, HYA and HYA satellite airports (FMH, PVC, CQX, PYM, 5B6 and 2B1) through ZBW airspace (at or above 11,000 feet MSL) that are to be used during the CAPE VIP TFR event.
