Don't Miss Upcoming Webinar on Runway Excursions With FAA Subject-Matter Expert
On June 24, NBAA will host a webinar titled, "Runway Excursions: The Business Aviation Perspective," focusing on risk factors that contribute to runway excursions. The webinar, which has been in the planning stages for several months, will feature Alan Gorthy of the FAA's Runway Safety Group, and will help operators gain a better understanding of how performance parameters affect pilots' ability to avoid runway excursions, as well as other incidents and accidents. INDUSTRY ADVOCACY

No Plane No Gain Message Broadcasting on California Airwaves
NBAA's participation at an April event highlighting the contributions in California of general aviation (GA), including business aviation, resulted in additional opportunities to promote the industry throughout the state. "About one week after California Aviation Day in Sacramento, I followed up with a personal visit to Assemblyman Jim Patterson's office to talk with him further about business aviation," said NBAA Western Regional Representative Stacy Howard. "We also spoke about ways to enhance the industry's image throughout the state, and he offered his assistance in that area." That conversation also resulted in a Fresno-area radio station airing a public service announcement (PSA), developed for the No Plane No Gain advocacy campaign, about business aviation's importance to local economies. Listen to the PSA .
