NBAA Introduces New Leadership Conference in 2002; Cancels August 2000 Maintenance Conference

Contact: Cassandra Bosco

Washington, DC, May 7, 2001 - The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) will combine its Corporate Aviation Management Conference and Maintenance Management Conference into a single event called the NBAA Leadership Conference. The first Leadership Conference will be held April 23 to 25, 2002, at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville.

In order to focus on Leadership Conference planning, NBAA has decided to cancel its 16th Annual Maintenance Management Conference and associated events, originally scheduled for this August in Anaheim. Likewise, the Corporate Aviation Management Conference scheduled for February 2002 in Nashville has been cancelled since it is being replaced by the Leadership Conference in April 2002.

Like the management and maintenance events it will replace, the new NBAA Leadership Conference will offer the latest information on corporate aviation management and maintenance topics, such as attracting and retaining qualified flight department members, personnel management, cost accounting, record keeping, human factors and FAA Regulations.

For more information about the NBAA Seminar Program, visit www.nbaa.org/seminars, or contact Assistant Manager, Conventions & Seminars Lydia Newsome at (202) 783-9369 or [email protected]. For more information about the 2002 Leadership Conference in particular, contact Senior Vice President, Operations Bob Blouin at (202) 783-9350 or [email protected].

NBAA represents the aviation interests of over 6,500 companies which own or operate general aviation aircraft as an aid to the conduct of their business, or are involved with business aviation. NBAA Member Companies earn annual revenues approaching $5 trillion — a number that is about half the gross domestic product — and employ more than 19 million people worldwide. The NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention is the world's largest display of civil aviation products and services.
