Did You Know?

Business aviation contributes over $150 billion to the U.S. economy every year, and supports 1.2 million jobs. Most general aviation aircraft are manufactured, operated, serviced and maintained in the United States. In fact, business aircraft manufacture is one of the remaining sources of good manufacturing jobs in this country. It is also one of the few industries still contributing to the nation's positive balance of trade. To learn more about the many ways business aviation benefits the nation's economy and companies of all sizes, all across the U.S., visit: NoPlaneNoGain.org.

No Plane No Gain Report

The No Plane No Gain advocacy campaign is jointly sponsored by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA). Since its launch, this program has been educating policymakers and opinion leaders about the importance of business aviation to citizens, companies and communities across the U.S.

The campaign remains focused on communicating the importance of business aviation in creating more than a million jobs, serving as a lifeline for communities, providing an invaluable productivity and efficiency tool for businesses of all sizes and delivering emergency relief in times of crisis.

GAMA Recognizes Dorgan, Ehlers for Industry Support

Since the start of the No Plane No Gain advocacy campaign, Congressional support for general aviation, including business aviation, has become increasingly evident. GAMA recently recognized two Members of Congress – Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND) and Representative Vernon Ehlers (R-MI) were honored for careers marked by long-standing support for the industry. "We owe both of these longtime supporters of general aviation a debt of gratitude," said GAMA's Pete Bunce of the retiring legislators. "We are losing two very strong and enthusiastic advocates whose support has brought about real progress on critical issues for our industry." GAMA honored the two at a Capitol Hill reception. This Team 'Pedals' The No Plane No Gain Message

Last year, as the "Road Rats" cycling team geared up for its competition rides, the bikers carried a reminder – "No Plane, No Gain" – on their team jerseys. This year the team, which mostly consists of people in business aviation, again contacted GAMA and NBAA to offer to display the campaign's banner on the bikers' 2010 jerseys. The team has competed in events including the "MS 150 ride," sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. To use the No Plane No Gain logo in your communications, contact NBAA and GAMA at: dhubbard@nbaa.org.
