NBAA Trumpets Exciting Plans in Monday–Wednesday Lineup for 2011 Convention
With only two weeks remaining until the ribbon is cut to formally kick off NBAA's 64th Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2011) in Las Vegas NV, Convention planners report that this year's event, taking place Monday, October 10 through Wednesday, October 12, is anticipated to meet or exceed expectations from previous years, in large part because of the excitement surrounding the many offerings planned for NBAA2011. "We are very excited to be returning to Las Vegas, and we are delighted that our Monday-through-Wednesday show lineup is being enthusiastically received by Exhibitors and Attendees alike," said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. First-Ever Convention App Offers Exhibitor Opportunities
For the first time, an official NBAA Convention mobile application is available for the iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and any smart phone with web-enabled browser capability. The app will allow Attendees to search for Exhibitors and find them on an interactive floor map; review sessions and add them to their calendars; stay up-to-date with show alerts and Twitter updates; and much more. The Association encourages all NBAA2011 Exhibitors to enhance their listings in the app by uploading a company logo, as well as brochures and marketing materials, which will be viewed by app users before, during and after the event. To get started, anyone may download the app, and Exhibitors may access the Exhibitor Portal for file uploads, via the official NBAA2011 app page at:

Opening General Session to Feature Major Leaders in Industry, Government
An unprecedented lineup of five outstanding leaders from the aviation industry and government will be featured speakers at the NBAA2011 Opening General Session. The action-packed session kicks off at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 10, with the following speakers: U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), Federal Aviation Administrator Randy Babbitt, National Transportation Safety Board Chairwoman Deborah Hersman, John Deere & Company Agricultural and Turf Division President Dave Everitt, and former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee. Second-Day Session Features Aviation Luminaries and Leaders
An all-star group of distinguished pilots representing the highest levels of professional achievement will be featured speakers at the NBAA2011 Opening Session on Tuesday, October 11. Following the presentation of NBAA's Meritorious Service to Aviation Award to Clay Lacy, a pilots roundtable, moderated by famed air show performer Sean D. Tucker, will include the following panelists: Actor and aviator Harrison Ford, Federal Aviation Administrator Randy Babbitt, famed astronaut Gene Cernan, test pilot Bob Hoover and former lead pilot for the U.S. Air Force "Thunderbirds" Lloyd "Fig" Newton. In addition, the National Aviation Hall of Fame will present the annual Combs Gates Award to filmmaker Heather Taylor for her documentary on the first women's national air derby. NBAA/CAN Charity Benefit

Don't Miss a Chance to Support NBAA/CAN Charity Benefit
The annual can't-miss event at NBAA's Annual Meeting & Convention is the NBAA/CAN Charity Benefit, which will be held on Tuesday, October 11, in the Grand Ballroom at the Bellagio Hotel and will feature the Beach Boys performing live. The Live Auction, which will take place during the NBAA/CAN Charity Benefit, will feature world-renowned Auctioneer "Spanky" Assiter of Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction fame. NBAA is requesting donations for the benefit's Live and Silent Auctions. All proceeds from the event go toward the Corporate Angel Network's (CAN) work to schedule free flights for cancer patients on business aircraft. Players and Sponsors Can Still Participate in Charity Classic
The NBAA 15th Annual Chairman's Charity Classic Golf Tournament will take place on Sunday, October 9, at Revere Golf Club in Henderson, NV, in conjunction with NBAA2011. All proceeds from the event will benefit NBAA Charities, which raises funds to support philanthropic organizations and initiatives that use general aviation airplanes for humanitarian purposes. With hundreds of golfers expected, this year's tournament will feature numerous sponsorships, which include recognition on the sponsorship banner at the course, and most packages include player positions in the tournament. NBAA's Convention is the year's most significant media event for the business aviation industry, bringing together business leaders, government officials, manufacturers, business aviation department personnel and others involved in nearly all aspects of business aviation. Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2012)

ABACE2012 Exhibitors Will Reach Rapidly Growing Asian Marketplace
In response efforts to China's rapid economic growth that is driving a need for business aviation, a delegation of officials from the Civil Aviation Administration of China recently visited Washington, DC to learn more about business aviation first-hand from NBAA. This past June, NBAA solidified its commitment to supporting business aviation growth and promotion in China and across the Asian region by signing a five-year agreement with the Shanghai Airport Authority guaranteeing the Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) will be hosted at the Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. Not only will the event put China at the center of global business aviation, it will help catalyze the Asian market, inform regulatory authorities and further introduce business leaders to the business aviation benefits. S&D Conference Lottery Deadline This Friday
The NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Conference is an outstanding opportunity for companies to interact with those individuals responsible for coordinating the use of business aircraft. The 2012 event will feature hundreds of exhibits by aviation products and services providers from January 15 to 18 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA. NBAA's Business Aviation Regional Forums are designed to meet the local needs of businesses by providing a venue for exchanging information about specific airport policies, environmental protocols, safety and security proposals, taxation and other issues.
