Online Registration Now Available for LBA2009
Members may now register online for the first-ever NBAA Light Business Airplane Exhibition & Conference (LBA2009). LBA2009 is a new show that addresses the unique challenges and needs of entrepreneurs who rely on light business airplanes, specifically focusing on operators of piston airplanes, turboprops and light jets. The new event will be held at San Diego’s award-winning convention center in California from March 12 to 14, 2009, with a Static Display of Airplanes at nearby San Diego International Airport (SAN). LBA2009 Enthusiastically Anticipated and Supported by Industry
NBAA announced earlier this month that the Cessna Aircraft Company will sponsor the Single Pilot Safety Standdown that will be held on March 14, 2009 in conjunction with LBA2009. John and Martha King of King Schools, who served on the local planning committee for the inaugural show, announced that they will offer show Attendees a complimentary online King Schools course, valued at $395. "We applaud NBAA for developing an event directed at a dynamic and exciting part of the business airplane market,” recently said Austin Blue of Spectrum Aeronautical, LLC, also a planning committee member, whose company will be exhibiting at LBA2009. An avid supporter of business aviation who currently owns and flies a Cirrus SR22, Forbes magazine publisher Rich Karlgaard will be the featured speaker at the show’s opening general session. Act Now to Secure Exhibit Space, Sponsorships for 20th Annual S&D Conference
Exhibit space and sponsorships are still available for the NBAA 20th Annual Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Conference, to be held next year from January 13 to 16 at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center in California. The three-day event will feature a number of Education Sessions and Schedulers Professional Development Program courses addressing current needs and issues for the profession. The 2008 Conference in Savannah, GA broke records with 391 exhibiting companies and more than 2,600 registered Attendees. An even greater turnout is expected for 2009. Lottery Deadline Is Next Week for Exhibits and Static Display at EBACE2009
The 9th Annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2009) will be held next year in Geneva from May 12 to 14. EBACE is the preeminent forum for the European business aviation community to find products and services from the world's top vendors. Priority exhibit space at EBACE2009 will be assigned by lottery drawing. The deadline to apply for the lottery is next Friday, November 21, and the Exhibitor Prospectus is currently available online. Mark Your Calendars for NBAA2009
NBAA's 62nd Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2009) will be held from Tuesday, October 20 to Thursday, October 22 in Orlando, FL. NBAA2009 will continue to build on the success of NBAA2008, which had more than 30,000 Attendees and a record total of 1,186 Exhibitors, in addition to a Static Display with 139 state-of-the-art business aircraft. Exhibitor Prospectus Available for 2009 NBAA Regional Forums
The Exhibitor Prospectus for next year’s Business Aviation Regional Forums is now online. The U.S. locations and dates for NBAA-hosted regional forums in 2009 include: Dallas Love Field (DAL) in Dallas, TX on April 9; Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport (MSP) in Minneapolis, MN on June 25; and Henderson Executive Airport (HND) in Las Vegas, NV on September 17. NBAA Regional Forums bring business aircraft owners, operators, manufacturers, customers and other industry personnel together for one-day events at premier airports and fixed base operators in the U.S. and abroad. The forums are designed to meet the needs of regional business aviation communities and provide information to local business leaders interested in learning more about business aviation. 36th Annual International Operators Conference Dates Announced: Mar. 30–Apr. 2, 2009
The NBAA 36th Annual International Operators Conference, themed “One World – One Conference,” will be held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina in California from March 30 to April 2.The four-day Conference will feature Education Sessions on international flight safety, security, efficiency and regulation. Speakers from around the world will address international operational issues, new technologies and the latest information about doing business in various cultures. Plan Ahead for 2009 Maintenance Management Conference
Next year’s NBAA Maintenance Management Conference will be held in New Orleans, LA from April 15 to 17. The three-day Conference is business aviation’s only event dedicated to aircraft maintenance and technical operations management. Themed “Navigating Change: Wrenches to Laptops,” the 2009 Conference is designed to share the latest in product developments and industry trends. The Conference will also offer topics in leadership management, latest trends in technology, regulatory issues and other hot topics, along with special interest subjects for personnel growth. Attendees will include business aviation professionals with management responsibilities and purchasing authority for aircraft maintenance, technical operations and hangar facilities compliance. The Association has announced the dates for the NBAA 14th Annual Flight Attendants Conference. Recognized as the industry's best educational and networking event for business aviation flight attendants, the Conference will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in New Orleans, LA from June 25 to 27, 2009. The Conference will educate Attendees on cultural and industry changes as they affect the business aviation flight attendant in providing cabin safety, security and service. See a Preview of NBAA’s New Web Site, Launching Soon
NBAA will soon launch its completely redesigned web site, which will be easier to use and more clearly organized. Over the course of this year, NBAA collected extensive feedback from Members on the Association’s current web site, which was introduced in 1995. Members reported that the site was a great resource, but that it was sometimes difficult to find the information they were looking for. The architecture of the web site is being revised to organize information more logically, and several new navigation features are being added to make NBAA’s many online resources easier to find. “We’re doing this redesign to dramatically improve the experience of using of the site,” said NBAA’s Jason Wolf, director, Internet communications.
