Hundreds of thousands of pilots and enthusiasts will visit Oshkosh, WI beginning July 28 for the Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA’s) 2014 AirVenture Oshkosh. In what has become an annual tradition, NBAA will once again have its white tent along the flight line at Wittman Regional Airport (OSH) for Members and non-Members alike to visit with NBAA staff and learn more about the Association.

NBAA’s presence at AirVenture serves as an opportunity for attendees from around the globe to learn more about the value of business aviation to their communities, explained Kirby Konz, NBAA project manager, marketing.

“First and foremost, we want to make sure people know who we are, and that there is a voice for people using aircraft for business,” she said. “Our Members know who NBAA is and what our Association does to support this industry, but there are many people using their airplanes for business who do not.”

NBAA staff will be on hand throughout the event to explain benefits and services available from the organization, and operations personnel will also be on hand to answer aircraft ownership and operational questions attendees may have. Members may also take advantage of the “back porch” venue, a prime location to watch the daily afternoon air show.

“It is incredibly important for us to show our support for EAA, and this vital American industry,” Konz said. “Every year, Oshkosh features the very best of what general aviation has to offer. The event not only showcases the latest aircraft, products and services; it also highlights the strength and unity of the international GA community.”

Beginning more than 60 years ago as a small, regional fly-in for experimental aircraft, AirVenture has evolved to become one of the world’s premier general aviation events. The weeklong show will attract more than a half-million pilots, manufacturers and aircraft enthusiasts from around the world.

Throughout the week, NBAA will also host a daily drawing for one free ticket to the association’s 2014 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA2014), which takes place Oct. 21 to 23 in Orlando, FL. The ticket drawing will be held at the end of each day, with winners notified via email and through social media.

The 2014 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh runs through Aug. 3.
