Aviation legal and tax issues are important for new and current business aircraft owners. Planning for the proper structuring of aircraft ownership and operations in light of regulatory, financing, liability, insurance and tax considerations is critical. During this Session, Attendees will learn how to:

• Utilize a checklist that considers key legal and tax issues for aircraft owners;
• Conduct periodic reviews of aircraft ownership structures; and
• Engage in effective tax planning while complying with pertinent Federal Aviation Regulations

Flight Deck Datalink

With the possibility of regulatory authorities requiring implementation of Safety Management Systems (SMS), many operators have questions about what the future holds. During this session, Attendees will learn how to:

• Understand the process countries will use to implement SMS mandates;
• Utilize resources from NBAA, IBAC and other organizations to assist with SMS implementation; and
• Understand the major components that are present in any SMS
