NBAA Wraps Up Successful Gathering on Business Aviation Registration, Finance
Feb. 10, 2014
The 2014 NBAA Business Aircraft Finance, Registration & Legal Conference, which ran from Feb. 5 to 7 in St. Pete Beach, FL, provided attendees with valuable guidance about closing aircraft transactions in uncertain economic times.
"We had more than 170 registered attendees, including the biggest names in aircraft finance, business aviation law and international aircraft registration," noted Mike Nichols, NBAA vice president, operational excellence and professional development. "Most importantly, the conference provided ample opportunities for networking and discussion of industry concerns."
A robust agenda covered topics including non-citizen trusts and upcoming changes to the Cape Town International Registry's guidance on aircraft transactions.
Featured presenters included Nick Popovich of Sage Popovich, JETNET iQ's Rolland Vincent and Rolls Royce North America market analyst Dean Roberts. Keynote speaker Mark Warren, FAA acting chief counsel, also presented the DOT Gold Award to retiring, 51-year FAA employee Joseph Standell at the event.
