Global Air Charters Hopes NBAA2012 Brings New Business

For Susan Rudi Rodsjo, CEO of Global Air Charters, NBAA’s 65th Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA 2012) offers an unparalleled opportunity to market her company and, hopefully, generate new business.

“We’re trying to get out and meet with a lot of our customers, primarily the brokers who are here,” she said. “We have new ownership, so we’re also trying to spread the word about that and our new direction with a strong focus on hospitality.”

Based at Teterboro Airport in Teterboro, N.J., near New York City, Global Air Charters also staffs offices in Minneapolis, MN, and Bridgeport, CT. And, through a partnership, the company operates a location Kuala Lampur in Malaysia. With two aircraft, this small firm prides itself on being an international player, which is another reason by Rodsjo prizes NBAA2012.

“We see a lot of the industry in one location,” she said. “We also do some market research here trying to gather input from our broker customers on with the new ownership and direction of the company what we can do to better serve them.”

Rodsjo also works in time to attend some of the conferences that are offered during the event.

“There’s a conference I’m planning to go to on management to help manage the jets with the aircraft owners,” she said. “Trying to bring additional jets online that we’ll be managing and putting up for charter.”
