LCD Display Maker: Value of NBAA2011 Is Unparalleled

For Aircraft Cabin Systems (ACS), NBAA2011 offers a unique opportunity to meet with existing customers and court new ones. The company makes high-end LCD displays and monitors for clients in a variety of markets, including business aviation.

Based in Redmond, WA, the company is wholly owned by founder, CEO and President Yukio Sugimoto. With annual sales of roughly $5 million and 13 employees, the company sells to clients worldwide. Business aviation accounts for about a third of the company's sales.

ACS has exhibited at the Convention for more than 10 years and typically sees a good percentage of its client base at the show. They say the value of NBAA's Annual Meeting & Convention is unparalleled.

"Part of our business is selling to business aircraft and the business aviation side of the market, so this is a great spot for us to come and show our products off," said Ben Ludlow of ACS. "As far as dollars spent, we get a lot more exposure and the personal visits are great. It's very cost effective to be here, and the networking is awesome."

Despite the sluggish economy, Ludlow said the company is seeing growth and is optimistic about 2012. With three people on-site for the show, Ludlow said the crew doesn't have time to take in any of the many informative educational sessions. "We're spread pretty thin, so we try to focus on conducting business," Ludlow said.
