Carolina Group Meeting in Raleigh on June 18
The Carolina Aviation Professionals Association (CAPA) will hold its next meeting on June 18 at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). The guest speaker will be Bill Graef, president of The Flight Group. The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the General Aviation Building located at 1750 East International Drive on the airport. Wisconsin Group Hosting Scholarship Benefit Tournament on June 20
The Wisconsin Business Aviation Association (WBAA) will hold its 2013 golf outing supporting the association's scholarship program on June 20 at Bridges Golf Course in Madison, WI. The WBAA Scholarship Program promotes participation in aviation careers. There will be a reception the night before, on June 19. Colorado Group Hosting Aviation Scholarship Fundraiser July 10
The Colorado Aviation Business Association (CABA) will hold its 7th Annual Golf Tournament on July 10 supporting the Centennial Airport Foundation and the CABA Scholarship Fund. The tournament will be held at the Inverness Hotel & Golf Club next to Centennial Airport (APA) in Englewood, CO. Sign-in begins at 6:30 a.m. followed by a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start in a scramble format. Lunch and awards follow the tournament. Michigan Association Hosting Scholarship Benefit Tournament on July 23
The Michigan Business Aviation Association (MBAA) will hold its annual Golf Classic on July 23 at the Lyon Oaks Golf & Banquet Center in Wixom, MI. Proceeds from the Golf Classic support the MBAA scholarship program, which has presented more than $252,000 worth of aviation training and cash awards since established in 1998. June IS-BAO Workshops Being Held in U.S. and Canada
In June, the International Business Aviation Council has scheduled Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshops in the following cities: Atlanta, GA; San Jose, CA; Washington, DC; and Vancouver, British Columbia. IBAC presents Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshops to assist operators who are implementing, or considering implementing, the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO), a code of best practices designed to help flight departments worldwide achieve a high level of safety and professionalism. These events qualify for NBAA Professional Development Program credit and many are hosted by NBAA in conjunction with its events. Minnesota Group Meeting at Anoka County Airport, June 12
The Minnesota Business Aviation Association (MBAA) will hold a lunch meeting on June 12 at Key Air Twin Cities on Anoka County Airport (ANE). The luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m. and will be sponsored by Dassault Falcon, which will have a Falcon 7X on static display. For more information, visit the MBAA website.

National Safety Council Hosting Aviation Ground Safety Seminar in Chicago, June 18
The National Safety Council's (NSC’s) International Air Transport Section is hosting an Aviation Ground Safety Seminar and Section Meeting in Chicago on June 18 and 19. The agenda will cover aircraft deicing, fuel quality control, safety management systems, hearing loss prevention, ground service auditing and much more. The seminar will be held June 18, followed by the section meeting on June 19, both at the NSC's headquarters in Itasca, IL. There will also be many opportunities for networking throughout the event. Nevada Group Holding Monthly Meeting, June 19
The Nevada Business Aviation Association (NVBAA) will hold its next monthly meeting on June 19 at McCarran International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas. The meeting will be held from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., followed by a networking hour until 10 a.m. The meeting, which will be held at Atlantic Aviation, located at 275 East Tropicana Avenue on the airport, will also be available by teleconference. Fatigue Management Seminar Programs Coming to Northeast This June
To help business aviation professionals mitigate the risks from fatigue, NBAA and regional associations in the Northeast are hosting several fatigue management seminars this June. The first program will be held on June 17 at Signature Flight Support on Morristown Municipal Airport (MMU) in New Jersey, followed by June 18 at Volo Aviation on Hanscom Field in Massachusetts and June 20 at Bentley College in Waltham, MA. The program features discussions by fatigue management experts Leigh White of Alertness Solutions, Capt. Jim Mangie at Delta Airlines and fatigue scientist Dr. Melissa Mallis. Attending the seminars counts toward NBAA Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) qualification and recertification credit. All seminars are from 8 a.m. to noon. Chicago Group Holding Maintenance Seminar on June 27
The Chicago Area Business Aviation Association (CABAA) will hold a Maintenance Seminar on June 27 at in Elk Grove, IL. The seminar will cover topics such as handling of hazardous materials and A&P education, but will focus on NextGen technologies such as datalink communications (CPDLC), automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B), FANS1A, Links 2000 and others. Many flight departments are currently addressing NextGen equipage issues, making this seminar highly relevant. NBAA’s Piccione to Speak at GA Issues & Security Conference This Summer
This summer, NBAA is again joining with several leading industry groups, including the American Association of Airport Executives, to present the General Aviation Issues & Security Conference. Held from July 9 to 11 at Chicago Executive Airport (PWK), the conference will focus on the general aviation industry will face in the future. This year, NBAA Senior Vice President for Government for Government Affairs will be participating in a “state of the industry” roundtable at the conference. The event will provide an opportunity to clearly define industry challenges, exchange ideas, explore solutions and network with aviation leaders. For more information, visit the conference webpage.

New Jersey Aviation Association Legislative Awards on Sept. 10

New York Aviation Managers to Hold Fall Conference in Albany
The New York Aviation Management Association (NYAMA) will hold its Fall Conference and Exhibit Show from Sept. 18 to 20 in at the Desmond Albany Hotel and Conference Center. Hosted by Albany International Airport (ALB), the conference features a roundtable with state aviation associations and updates by the FAA and New York State Department of Transportation.
