Utah Group Hosting First Scholarship Golf Tournament, May 15
The Utah Business Aviation Association (UBAA) will host its first Scholarship Golf Tournament on May 15 at Stonebridge Golf Club in West Valley City, UT. Greater Washington Safety Standdown Set for May 16
This year’s Greater Washington Business Aviation Association (GWBAA) Safety Standdown will feature National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Member Robert Sumwalt as the keynote speaker. The event will be held May 16 at the NTSB Training Center in Ashburn, VA from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The agenda will cover security issues, emergency response planning – with an option breakout session for CPR/AED recertification – supplemental lift considerations, and avionics equipage requirements. The event qualifies for NBAA's Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) credit and will include a guided tour of the TWA 800 reconstruction. For more information and to register, visit the GWBAA site.

Idaho Aviation Expo to Be Held in Idaho Falls This May
The Idaho Aviation Association and Aero Mark are hosting the 3rd Annual Idaho Aviation Expo at the Aero Mark facility on Idaho Falls Airport (IDA) on May 17 and 18. South Carolina's Greenville Airport Hosting Charity 5k Run, May 25
Greenville Downtown Airport (GMU) is hosting the first-ever Take Flight 5k run on May 25 to raise funds for an aviation-themed park in the community. The race will begin on a runway on the airport. Tampa Group Hosting Children's Hospital Charity Benefit, May 31
The Tampa Bay Aviation Association (TBAA) will hold its second annual charity golf tournament on May 31 at the Westchase Golf Club in Tampa, FL. This year's event will benefit All Children's Hospital in Tampa. June IS-BAO Workshops Being Held in U.S. and Canada
In June, the International Business Aviation Council has scheduled Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshops in the following cities: Atlanta, GA; San Jose, CA; Washington, DC; and Vancouver, British Columbia. IBAC presents Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshops to assist operators who are implementing, or considering implementing, the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO), a code of best practices designed to help flight departments worldwide achieve a high level of safety and professionalism. These events qualify for NBAA Professional Development Program credit and many are hosted by NBAA in conjunction with its events. Fatigue Management Seminar Programs Coming to Northeast This June
To help business aviation professionals mitigate the risks from fatigue, NBAA and regional associations in the Northeast are hosting several fatigue management seminars this June. The first program will be held on June 17 at Signature Flight Support on Morristown Municipal Airport (MMU) in New Jersey, followed by June 18 at Volo Aviation on Hanscom Field in Massachusetts and June 20 at Bentley College in Waltham, MA. The program features discussions by fatigue management experts Leigh White of Alertness Solutions, Capt. Jim Mangie at Delta Airlines and fatigue scientist Dr. Melissa Mallis. Attending the seminars counts toward NBAA Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) qualification and recertification credit. All seminars are from 8 a.m. to noon. NBAA’s Piccione to Speak at GA Issues & Security Conference This Summer
This summer, NBAA is again joining with several leading industry groups, including the American Association of Airport Executives, to present the General Aviation Issues & Security Conference. Held from July 9 to 11 at Chicago Executive Airport (PWK), the conference will focus on the general aviation industry will face in the future. This year, NBAA Senior Vice President for Government for Government Affairs will be participating in a “state of the industry” roundtable at the conference. The event will provide an opportunity to clearly define industry challenges, exchange ideas, explore solutions and network with aviation leaders. For more information, visit the conference webpage.

Southeast Aviation Expo Scheduled for Sept. 27-28
