Pacific Rim Schedulers & Dispatchers to Meet in Seattle on Sept. 16
The Pacific Rim Schedulers & Dispatchers Association (PRSDA) will host a meeting on the afternoon of Sept. 16 in the main terminal building at Boeing Field in Seattle, WA. The meeting will focus on dispatcher resource management, presented by Kevin Gregory, vice president of Alertness Solutions. Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshop Coming to Atlanta on Sept. 16
The International Business Aviation Council holds a series of workshops to assist operators who are implementing, or considering implementing, the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO). A Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshop will be held on Sept. 16 in Atlanta, GA, and this event qualifies for NBAA Professional Development Program credit. See the full IS-BAO workshop schedule.

With NBAA's Support, North Texas Students to Be Introduced to Business Aviation Careers
On Wednesday, Sept. 17, NBAA, along with the North Texas Business Aviation Association (NTBAA) and the Love Field Pilots Association, will sponsor a program to attract young professionals to the industry by co-hosting a mentoring session for local high school and college students at Dallas Love Field. “Our goal is to provide a venue for young men and women interested in a career in business aviation,” said Jacque Walker, who expects as many as 50 attendees. “NBAA had asked if we would be interested in using our contacts to reach out to students interested in a business aviation career,” said Walker. The session takes place the day before NBAA's Dallas Business Aviation Regional Forum, Sept. 18 at Love Field. Learn more about the Dallas mentoring session.

Pacific Northwest Group to Host Charity Golf Event in Newcastle, Sept. 17
The Pacific Northwest Business Aviation Association (PNBAA) will host its 6th Annual Charity Golf Event at the Golf Club at Newcastle on Sept. 17. Proceeds from this event will benefit Seattle’s Raisbeck Aviation High School (RAHS) and the Washington Wing of the Civil Air Patrol. Long Island Groups Holding Joint Meeting Near MacArthur Airport, Sept. 17
The Long Island Business Aviation Association (LIBAA) and the Long Island Professional Aircraft Maintenance Association (LIPAMA) will hold their annual joint meeting on Sept. 17 at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center in Ronkonkoma, NY. Featured presenter Ralph Hood, an aviation speaker and humorist, will deliver a keynote titled, “It’s Clear on Top.” The event is $30 for LIBAA and LIPAMA members and $50 for non-members. Tampa Bay Aviation Association’s 4th Annual Safety Standdown Is Sept. 18
The Tampa Bay Aviation Association (TBAA) will hold its 4th Annual Safety Standdown on Sept. 18 at Tampa Executive Airport (VDF). The full-day event will be held at Volo Aviation on the airport from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees are invited to fly in that morning. Southern California Group to Hold 6th Annual Safety Standdown on Sept. 22
The Southern California Aviation Association (SCAA) will hold its 6th Annual Safety Standdown on Sept. 22 in Carlsbad, CA. The full-day event will provide safety insights on all facets of a flight operation, including a presentation on over-reliance on automation in the cockpit. The event will be held at the Carlsbad Sheraton from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit the SCAA website.

Kansas Aviation Expo to Highlight Business Aviation
The Southern The second annual Kansas Aviation Expo, slated for Sept. 22 to 26, will showcase business aviation as part of the event's presentation on the importance of aviation to the state. This year's expo, the theme of which is "Where Dreams Come True," will include a career fair and three-day air tour of the state, said Jesse Romo, director of the Kansas Department of Transportation’s aviation division. South Carolina Group Co-Hosting Southeast Aviation Expo This September
The South Carolina Aviation Association (SCAA) is co-hosting the 2014 Southeast Aviation Expo on Sept. 26 and 27 at Greenville Downtown Airport (GMU). The event will provide pilots from around the southern region a showcase on the latest products on the market and educational programming. Kansas City Group's 7th Annual Sporting Clays Charity Event Is Oct. 1
The Kansas City Business Aviation Association (KCBAA) will hold its 7th annual sporting clays and trap shooting event on Oct. 1 at the Powder Creek Shooting Park in Lenexa, KS. Idaho Group’s Luncheon Coming to Boise, Oct. 8
The Idaho Business Aviation Association (IBAA) is hosting a lunch meeting on Oct. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jackson Jet Center on Boise Airport (BOI). Trenton-Mercer Airport Boosters Hosting Scholarship Benefit & Golf Classic Oct. 2
The Friends of Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN), a regional group in New Jersey, encourages local community college students to pursue careers in aviation through its scholarship program. The group’s annual scholarship fundraiser, the Sky’s the Limit Golf Classic, will be held Oct. 2 in Trenton, NJ this year. South Carolina Aviation Association Sets 2015 Conference Dates
The South Carolina Aviation Association (SCAA) will host its Annual Conference from Feb. 11 to 13 in Isle of Palms, SC. The conference provides the only statewide forum for airport professionals, aviation industry leaders and pilots to meet and share industry updates with the FAA, Transportation Security Administration, National Transportation Safety Board, SC Aeronautics Commission and other regulators.
