NBAA Gathers Regional Leaders Together to Discuss Issues
This year's annual Local and Regional Group Leadership Roundtable is set for May 14 in Minneapolis, MN, and this one-day event allows business aviation industry leaders from around the country to meet and discuss best practices for running regional groups. Topics for discussion include: grant funding, how to implement an executive director and different types of IRS entity structure that groups can set up. "These groups share their experiences and at the same time share their challenges for sustainment," noted NBAA Director of Regional Programs Steve Hadley, who also serves as the Southwest regional representative. Plan to Attend a Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshop in 2015
The International Business Aviation Council is offering a comprehensive series of 2015 workshops to assist operators who are implementing, or considering implementing, the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO). Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshops are scheduled throughout 2015 at locations nationwide, often in conjunction with NBAA or other industry events. These workshops qualify for NBAA Professional Development Program credit. Register for a Fundamentals of IS-BAO Workshop.

NBAA Director, Air Traffic Services to Speak at Montana Aviation Conference
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) will host the annual Montana Aviation Conference from Feb. 26 to 28 at the Holiday Inn in Missoula, MT. NBAA’s Bob Lamond, director of air traffic services and infrastructure, will present a session at the conference. Sponsorships and exhibit spaces are still available. North Dakota Group Hosting Upper Midwest Aviation Symposium This March
The North Dakota Aviation Council (NDAC) will host the Upper Midwest Aviation Symposium from March 1 to 3 at the Holiday Inn in Fargo, ND. New York Operators Invited to Aviation Advocacy Day in Albany This March
The New York Aviation Management Association (NYAMA) will host its annual Aviation Advocacy Day activities on March 10 and 11 in Albany, NY. The event brings industry leaders from across the state to meet with legislators about the importance of aviation to New York’s prosperity. The 2015 event will be based at the Hilton Albany, with a reception and meetings at the nearby Legislative Office Building. Sponsorships are still available. Michigan Groups' Aviation Day at the Capitol Is Mar. 17
The Michigan Business Aviation Association (MBAA), in conjunction with the Michigan Association of Airport Executives, will hold its annual Day at the Capitol on Mar. 17. Held in the Speaker's Library on the second floor at the State Capitol in Lansing, MI, the event starts with registration and coffee at 9:30 a.m., followed by the MBAA Annual Meeting and the Legislative Reception and Luncheon. Georgia Group Hosting Maintenance Seminar on March 19
The Georgia Business Aviation Association (GBAA) is hosting its 6th Annual Business Aviation Maintenance Seminar and Inspection Authorization (IA) Refresher on March 19 outside Atlanta. Participation is free and FAA IA credits are available. The event will be held at the Riverside Epicenter in Austell, GA from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit the GBAA website.

New Hampshire Group’s Annual Legislative Meeting, March 20
The Granite State Airport Management Association (GSAMA) will hold its annual legislative meeting on March 20 on the campus of Plymouth State University. St. Louis Group Hosting State Aviation Day at the Capitol on April 14
Several aviation groups in Missouri will hold their annual State Aviation Day at the State Capitol in Jefferson City, MO at 9 a.m. on April 14. Founded by the Missouri Pilots Association, the event is sponsored by Greater St. Louis Business Aviation (GSLBAA) and NBAA. Tampa Group to Host 4th Annual Golf and Charity Event on May 29
The Tampa Bay Aviation Association's annual Golf and Charity Event has raised over $32,000 for All Children's Hospital and Largo/Clearwater Guild to date. The 4th annual tournament will be held from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 29, 2015, at 11602 Westchase Golf Drive, Tampa, FL. Many sponsorships are available and players must register by May 24.
