Universal Weather and Aviation Has No Plane No Gain Message ‘Pinned’ Down

Dec. 9, 2013

The 1,700 employees of Universal Weather and Aviation Inc. will soon be sporting No Plane No Gain lapel pins to demonstrate their support of business aviation, and to help educate the many aviation and government officials around the world with whom they work about the industry’s value.

”We’re encouraging our global community of employees, partners and clients to proudly wear their No Plane No Gain pins and to share the message and true story of business aviation, as they work with officials and businesses in their home regions,“ said Greg Evans, chairman of the board of Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. and vice chairman of NBAA’s Associate Member Advisory Council. ”As our industry grows and expands into new markets, we must be aligned and proudly ready to share the No Plane No Gain message.“

Universal, which has more than 40 offices in 19 countries, will distribute an additional 1,300 pins to aviation and government officials around the world via its ground support locations, international trip support offices and UVair fuel offices.

”We hope the pins will serve as conversation starters that will enable our employees to help educate the many officials that they regularly interact with about the value of business aviation,“ said Evans.

”Educating the world about the value business aviation provides is an important responsibility of all of us who make our living in this great industry,“ noted Evans. ”Especially in emerging markets that are relatively new to business aviation, we must work with authorities to help them understand the need for operational flexibility, such as the recent success in India with the easing of visa and temporary landing permit requirements, and in Japan, which has made it easier to operate domestically.“

No Plane No Gain is a joint advocacy campaign of NBAA and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) that reinforces the value of business aviation to citizens, companies and communities.

”We applaud the efforts of Universal Weather and Aviation to further the goals of No Plane No Gain by getting their employees involved,“ said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen.
