President and Chief Executive Officer, Cessna Aircraft Company
Scott A. Ernest joined Textron in May 2011 as president and chief executive officer of Cessna Aircraft Company, the leading worldwide manufacturer of general aviation aircraft. He is also a member of Textron's executive leadership team.
Before leading Cessna, Ernest had a 29-year career at General Electric (GE) Aviation, a leading provider of jet engines, components and integrated systems for commercial and military aircraft. He most recently served as vice president and general manager, global supply chain. Prior to that, he was vice president and general manager, global services operations.
Earlier in his career at GE Aviation, Ernest provided leadership in several general manager roles, including management of the company's sourcing organization, responsibility for its North American operations and oversight of its aviation services businesses located in Singapore and Kansas.
Ernest earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Akron and a Master of Science degree in engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
