2013 Call for Applications: Applications are now being accepted for the period from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2012, and the application deadline has been extended to March 15, 2013.
In 2013, NBAA’s Flying Safety Award program marks its 60th year. Over the decades, these awards have brought worldwide attention to the business aircraft safety record and have been endorsed by the National Safety Council.
The NBAA Flying Safety Awards recognize Member Companies for exceptional achievement in maintaining safe flying operations. Much more than a Member benefit, they serve as testimony to the high degree of professionalism inherent in business aircraft operations, and as tribute to the skill of a company’s management, maintenance, pilot and support personnel teams. Acknowledgements are made by mail and during the annual NBAA Convention.
Announcing New Pilot Award Category for 2013 – Because NBAA believes that safety accomplishments in all forms should be recognized, starting in 2013, the Association will for the first time honor private pilots for outstanding safe flying achievement with the new Private Pilot Safety Award. The award formerly known as the Pilot Safety Award has been renamed the ATP or Commercial Pilot Safety Award.
